Halifax scam emails…. Beware!

Just received my second scam email claiming to be from Halifax building society. It uses my full name.

It is lengthy, I can’t see any spelling mistakes so it looks genuine and is warning about security, has the Halifax logo etc.
It is asking me to update my phone details today, the other day it was address I believe.

When I clicked on the Sender “Halifax” you get a daft name then tiscali.co.uk no way that’s genuine.

I know it’s not genuine as I don’t have a Halifax account but if you DO, then delete immediately.

Halifax only ever use part of your Postcode to get in touch on line.

I never click on links regardless of how genuine an email looks.. , and when I get an email from my bank, or anywhere I've spent money like Amazon et al I always immediately go to their website to see if the message is there in my account, if it's not its a scam..

I got a similar mail from NatWest today. I just forwarded it straight to their phishing report email address then deleted it.

Aren't these all a flipping nuisance like the telephone calls.
They must trick some people which is very sad. What a world.

Yes they are a big nuisance but this one looked so genuine and talked at length about scams and cyber stuff that had I actually had a Halifax account I may have been taken in.
