The neighbour opposites outside paibters who think it's OK to play their radio very loudly and shout and sing in accompaniment. A word to the neighbours has not helped.

I have a little rant every time somebody moans that this hot weather we’re having should have been three weeks ago because the children have now gone back to school.

Summer holidays have always been pick and mix and anything that shortens the run up to winter is fine by me.

^I’ve complained in supermarkets about this saying they should put it on the tannoy, but nothing gets done ,and usually if you say anything to the driver you get a load of abuse, in my opinion it’s selfish and thoughtless.^

It is, Lesley60, and I’m so sorry you have to put up with this. We had a wonderful manager in the Asda near where I worked who would always announce offenders’ number plates over the tannoy, and tell them to move their car because they were preventing people with disabilities from being able to shop. There should be more like her.

Maggiemaybe: what a fantastic manager in your Asda I so wish others would do the same I would love to be a manager in a shop I would definitely do it.

Thinking about it, I'm annoyed that so many poor souls have to flee from their homelands and end up having to take such terrible risks just to survive. Climate breakdown will destroy so many more parts of the world and drive further migration to countries where there are not the resources that are needed for them to live good lives. I'm really angry at world leaders pretending that the disrupted weather and changes we've already experienced are not going to get steadily, or quickly worse. I watch the scandalous short-termism in managing the resources we have in this country and despair as lack of planning undermines our ability to survive when we should be building resilience.

I'd like a rantette about VAT. I've just had a quote for a new kitchen, and the amount to pay to the government (out of previously taxed income) is phenomenal!

I know my rant is less momentous than ones about world problems, but it's annoying me at the moment - sorry.

Today's top contenders are Mr GrowingOld, who has attained gold medal standard in picking holes in everything I do, and blaming me for things I have had nothing to do with, and in close second position, is Stenchman the Skunk Smoker next door, for his lighting up at 30 minute intervals, making it untenable to sit out in the garden without choking on the stink, and his endless high-volume ranting at his kids.

Politicians of all shades who seem to think we are all stupid. Just answer questions frankly, for goodness sake.

Noise pollution..dogs barking continuously in someone else's garden and they seriously think shouting at the dog to be quiet helps.

Update on my post. Miraculously the home Mum is on the waiting list for rang today to say she can move in tomorrow. The hospital will be off my back and Mum will start her new life in a home which has a brilliant reputation. I am walking on air!

Casdon with you on the powdery mildew. My 2 azaleas have got it. Sprayed and cut back now hoping they recover.
Also main rant is the level of antisocial behaviour and foul language by children. They basically laugh as they know there will be no penalty other than a talking to by some official.

The two are not connected. The 'boat people' are paid from the Foreign Aid Budget and, also, money from the development budget. Though it's difficult to get the actual figures from the departments / government.

Work Capability Assessments for disabled people have been part of the agenda of the DWP / Government for years.

If the boat people stopped arriving tomorrow morning... the disabled would still be subjected to these 'tests' and disability payment cuts, because the government is wedded to the "small state" ideology.

I agree with you about the screaming kids though (why do they scream anyway?).

As they are tenants, can you have a word with the landlord, Freya? I know some won't care, but others might want to encourage good relationships with neighbours as they can also alert landlords to behaviour which could reduce the value of the houses they rent out

In the case of genuine anti social behaviour you may have a case for contacting the LL. However it always really pizzes me off when someone infers that they have some special privilage over renters just because they happen to own the property next door.

Some years ago when I was renting I had a whingeing NDN. Fortunately I had a good relationship with the LL. So when moaning minny asked to "have a word" (about something I had already discussed with LL) she said "If you have anything to say about Biglouis then you will have to say it in front of her. I dont like tittle-tattles."

Unless something illegal is being done or the property being damaged most LLs will give preference to whoever is paying their mortgage for them and not some random who happens to live next door.

Absolutely!!! All these boats with their men, woman and children should be pushed back into the sea. Could make it a spectator sport watching them all drown. Surely, this is what Jesus would tell us to do!!!!

I'm annoyed with my gp. I finally got to see her yesterday with a painful swollen hand. She said it needed a specialist injection ASAP. I said I'd get it done through Benendon and she printed off something for them. When I rang them they said there was no way they'd accept what she'd written. There was no detail, just painful swollen hand. Once again I am left with nowhere to go. The gp is impossible to get hold of.

A purely selfish annoyance - people who insist that it's because of my age that I can't walk far / feel exhausted a lot of the time and can't race around with our grandchildren. It's flipping not. It's blasted Long Covid!

Tesco car park this afternoon, roasting hot. Beside my car is an enormous 4x4 Chelsea tractor, with its engine running. It was still runnng when I got back to my car 40 minutes later
Inside was a lad of about 20, feet up on the dashboard, looking at his phone. Running the air con, I imagine.
Inside Tesco, the air con was keeping us all cool.
Maybe there was a dog in there too, I didn't notice. Even so, he could have sat in the shade, there are plenty of trees.

Your comments may be taken in two ways, Franbern: neither of which reflect well on you. Taken literally, you are proposing mass murder and suggesting that Jesus would approve. Taken as irony, you are insinuating that anyone who objects to the current state of mass cross-Channel migration supports mass murder etc. Is that the best you can offer to the debate?
