What everyday irritations make you really grumpy?

1. Litter/fly tipping
2. People lighting fires in the day, very inconsiderate when people have washing out.
3. Children screaming.
4. Blaring music, out of cars or in gardens and then people have to shout over it to be heard, making even more noise.
5. The smell of cannabis, every where I go lately.
6. Queue jumpers.
7. Drivers doing 30/40 on a 60 mph road and you can't overtake.
8. Equally when I'm doing 30 mph the speed limit and you have drivers (especially young boys) up your rear!
9. Scramblers doing wheelies, no helmets and their couldn't care less attitude.
10. People who don't pick up their dogs mess.

The list is endless ...... I'm a proper Mrs Meldrew LOL.

All the tv programmes that show “what’s coming up next” I don’t want any spoilers I just want to watch the programme!

I’m not bothered by children in the garden , barking dogs , power tools or bbqs . What does annoy me is drivers who don’t acknowledge you when you give way to them or let them out at a junction . I have a small hatchback and women with big suvs or 4x4 s just ignore me and plow through our village , thinking they have right of way due to their size 🤬. Also drivers crawling along at a snails pace and drivers not using their indicators.
Litter louts and dogs owners who don’t pick up their poo , or who leave poo bags hanging from trees seriously annoy me.

Radio interviews when 1. the interviewer asks a seven clause question and allows three seconds for the answer.
2. Everybody starts their reply with, ‘That’s a very interesting question’
3. They speak English without any Ts.
4. They gabble so fast (and without any Ts) that I can’t understand them.
5. The person spoken to is in their kitchen on their mobile phone which is too quiet/indistinct/bad reception.

Screaming children, dogs that bark for hours on end, why get a dog if you can’t look after it.

Getting lose and loose mixed up, happens on a daily basis.

People who start every sentence with the word “So”.

Hogger……….not Jogger 😂😂

Don’t use the first lane in case there’s a broken down car. If the powers that be don’t like it, then get rid of the dangerous things.

The 40mph Club, who are out and about now the weather's improving. They have CB radios to alert members when I set off in my car. Their elite branch, the 35mph Group come out occasionally. I live in a semi-rural location and opportunities to get past are few, especially if there's traffic on the other side. They know when I'm on my way somewhere. Their raison d'etre is to make me late.

Strip companies with too much money who send their employees off to learn how to speak publicly.
They are taught to use the word so to give them a second to settle themselves.
Obviously that should be stupid, not strip 😂

Rowyn, I wondered; can the suckers in your garden be poisoned in such as way the whole system is poisoned? Worth Googling?

Feel your angst! Normally when the washing goes out and the windows are flung open to air the house some TWIT lights a bonfire!!

you could try having a bottle with a pierced top to drip water below. Not so regular so they can tell when it will happen or have two bottles to do a couple of drips, Tends to work as people dont want to stand under it!

Next doors security lights. They have seven on the front of their house which come on in various formations and for different lengths of time when it is windy. It is like’ Son et lumiere ‘. We have asked nicely if something can be done as the lights shine into our house. But no. So we are working on a ‘nuisance’ list with the council.

Yep, have to agree.. I’ve been in the garden doing light weeding while my grandson was sleeping in his pram having to listen to what sounds like several wind chimes from next door.. this is my first spring living here, never had this in the previous house so I’m just going to have to learn to live with it 🙁

People who start most sentences with "so....". Dreadful table manners and eating in films and t.v. programmes - both elbows on the table stuffing food in the mouth and talking at the same time. Like children but not when they seem to scream all the time. Motorists whose cars seem to lack indicators and drive with no concern for other road users. Also drivers who use the single track road where I live who cannot reverse their cars into the passing bay a few yards behind them, expecting me (and any other driver they meet) to reverse long distances up or down the narrow lane. If they can't reverse properly, stay on roads where you don't need to! Most don't even acknowledge you when you let them pass!

Noisy eaters! I swear I am close to putting my hands round the throat of a woman I work with who makes that irritating smacking sound when she eats, and you can see the food in her mouth. How hard is it to keep your mouth shut when chewing..

Another one, burps loudly after eating and thinks nothing of it, these are women in their early forties.

Whatever happened to table manners?

Lilac tree next door - except it's not - My neighbour cut down the main trunk a few years ago and left all the suckers, so now there is a massive 2 metre cube of lilac sucker leaves just over the fence.
And of course, the roots creep into my garden, under the path and then pop up in the middle of a bush or clump of flowers, or even go further and pop up in the middle of the lawn. At least I've got a chance of uprooting the ones in the grass, as I see them earlier than the others, which have been quietly establishing themselves for months and are impossible for me to dig up, being pretty ancient and arthritic. I can only chop them off which seems to encourage them!

She's a good neighbour and although I've mentioned a few times over the years about the lilac tree I had in my last garden, and how I always got rid of the suckers, as they definitely made the flowers less prolific , she continued to leave them and then moaned that the tree wasn't blooming as much as it should. I don't know whether half of my message was what finally motivated her to chop down the trunk, which of course was the exact opposite of what she should have done! There's even less flowering now.

As I say, she's a good neighbour and has either misunderstood what I've said, or for some reason has closed her mind to what I've hinted. If she knew how much it irritated me she would be mortified , and I just can't say any more.

What I would also say is we are particularly plagued with dog mess problems here. I don't know what people feed their dogs but several seem to enjoy having diarrhoea on the footpath outside our house for DH to clean up so perhaps we are a bit touchy about the issue. Managed to finally deter the cats though. I put a Halloween black cat with its hackles raised (got in the garden centre) by the front door by the flower pots which seems to spook them.

Mollygo may be we were lucky Toby was such a trainable Golden Retriever he 'caught on' to what we were trying to teach him and was very well behaved. DH has always had a 'knack' with animals anyway.

Bloody barbecues!!! The stink turns my stomach not to mention the food!!! Should be banned. !!!!

Dogs barking for hours and hours. Thumping of football being kicked on area where it us prohibited.
