Hot foot from not having something life changing I am booked in for aqua aerobics at 12.30 and I'm on bottle feeding one of the new lambs at 2. I do hope Mr Soop is MUCH better today and our Soop can relax a bit. I've attached a picture of me with the new arrival born on Friday night. I look very au natural or peely wally as my Mum would say but it has been a bit of a week.

I have better news regarding Mr Soop. He really does seem much improved today. In fact, he invited me to search the internet for wallpaper. 
We have therefore spent far too long trawling the various outlets. The design we both liked seemed ideal. And then...a notice flagged up on screen...^do not deliver to Scottish islands^. What the heck!
I have now to wash the lunchtime dishes (and make the bed). Shame on me.
I have a feeling that, by tomorrow, weather permitting, (severe gales forecast later that "may disrupt power") I shall return to our kitchen with a spring in my step. In the meantime, my very best wishes to you all. 
soop I’m so glad that Mr Soop is feeling a little better today, I’m sure he will now improve daily.
I’ve been battling to place an order with Lands End company in England. If I can place the small order in time, my daughter will bring it with her when she visits next Wednesday. I think I’ve placed the order this morning but as I spent the morning going round in circles I have no idea whether it’s all gone through or not. Of course I can’t get through on the phone to check either!
Frustrating but not a matter of life or death, maybe their lines will be better later.
DH had a private eye hospital appointment last week with the local hospital. His quote for having cataracts done was very high but while we were there he suggested that I ask how much it would cost to have my “dirty lenses” cleaned. It cost 135euros and they could do it that afternoon. So we waited until the end of usual appointments and I had it done. Only one eye is done at a time and I don’t know whether I’ll have to pay again when the other eye is done but it was really, really worth it. They’d said that I might not notice anything until the next day but I could see better instantly and it has been improving ever since.
I thought my iPad was on its last legs as the print was so faint. Well it might be but the print is miraculously returned to normal and I can read again on my kindle without resorting to the largest print possible. Something I was dreading turned out to be totally pain free as well.
Dh is going to check with his doctor how long the waiting lists are at Faro hospital to have his cataracts done there ( we think it’s about three years) but having realised how bad my eyes were, I now think the sooner the better for his to be done so that he can keep driving safely.

from a happy bunny here in Urmston. I went for a routine optician appointment today and was delighted to be told No Change. I’ve had the same spex now for 4 years & im happy to continue to wear them - especially as the prescription lenses alone (varifocal) are top of the range and they alone cost £400! New frames would add another £200+ 😱
At present I’m trying to save money.
I’m weighing up my Needs -v- my Wants. As new spex are a Want, I can manage without!
Dustyangel please explain about your ‘dirty lenses’! I cannot imagine what they are, unless you’ve dropped your specs into your dinner! 
Glasses can be so expensive, though we were pleasant surprised with dh’s recent new ones which came in at about half the price they were last time and they allow him to see much more clearly! I have been telling him for the past two years that I thought the prescription was wrong, because he could only read close up with one eye shut but no, he said the optician couldn’t possibly be wrong. Lo and behold, an optician who listened, saw what was wrong in the prescription and now dh can read without looking like a pirate with one eye closed. Of course, if he’d listened to me in the first place….but what do I know? 🤔
That’s excellent news about MrSoop - onward and upward! I wonder if the Soops have the same weather as us, very windy and the rain is lashing down.
NaughtyNeine I’m so glad your condition wasn’t as severe as suspected, such good news. That photo of you with the lamb is adorable! Speaking of peely wally, my dd had a patient last week who was describing her ‘funny turn’ and said that she had turned very pale. She then looked at dd and said ‘But not as pale as you are!’ Poor dd! 😂😂
We had our first session with our personal trainer this morning. He’s very kind and patient with us oldies! Some of it was quite taxing but I hope that means our strength and stamina with improve. It’s interesting to feel muscles being used that generally, you’re aware of. We will mark our progress on an app, but I have to say, when he demonstrated it to us, accompanied by much ‘You just do this and just do that’ it all seemed a bit beyond me!
Then it was shower and hair wash, throw together a chicken casserole in the slow cooker and go out to get GD from school and to her dancing class then bring her here for her dinner. Then it was time to get her home…I swear if there was a prize for prevaricating, GD would win it. I know grandparents are supposed to have so much patience but really, mine was truly tested. 😂
So a quiet evening now and time to catch up with ourselves.
