Well it’s chilly here in Suffolk. I was hoping to get in the garden but not today!
I’m trying to copy a favourite top using a lovely fabric I bought years ago (on Leicester market kitty! ) Its my first experiment at making my own pattern and I’m a bit nervous. Wish me luck!

Hello Kitcheners.Well the estates agents valuation went well.Just have to choose who we think is best.A bit mind blowing but we will probably put it on the market next week,have a few places to view and just see how it goes.DS2 is here for the weekend. He looks well and the meds seem to be helping,he’s now back to working full time.

Oh dear! That prediction of a cold snap is most certainly not welcome. Nothing that we can do to persuade Mother Nature to change her mind. So...we need to put up with whatever, and trust that it won't be too disruptive.

That RLS sounds a right buggeration. I feel sorry for those who have to endure such a wretched complaint.

GrannySomerset Teddy bears will never lose their appeal. I remain a lover of teddies. The last one that I bought was in aid of raising funds for the Great Ormand Street Hospital for children. We named him, Bernard. Every night, without fail, we say good night to him.

Grandmabatty my 5yr Gs loves noodles he is not a good eater so I give him them when he comes to ours. My oh is another with restless legs we also sleep separately .Thanks for good wishes for son he is doing well luckily he has good healing skin Drs were pleased when they saw him last ,he doesn't like being off work and not being able to do anything in their house which they are doing up .I'm another one who is dreading another cold snap.Soop hope hand feels easier following injection.

Good afternoon kitcheners. Me and dgs1 have been playing in the garden with water pistols and other outside paraphernalia. He's made dinosaurs out of playdough and is currently lying on the couch watching the lion king. I'm not sure what we'll get up to later, maybe a walk to the swings. He's had nearly a full packet of noodles for lunch while I had homemade lentil soup with chicken. Have a good afternoon kitcheners.

A trip this morning to the nearest Waitrose to collect the teddy ordered for GGS who is coming to meet me next week. Took the opportunity to buy some nice things to eat in an effort to discipline myself a bit,, and that was the morning gone. Nothing else planned for today though must look at my reading for tomorrow’s World Day of Prayer service.

Not looking forward to the cold blast promised for next week - let’s hope it isn’t as bad as suggested.

Yesterday I had a steroid injection in my hand (base of my right thumb) as I've advanced Dupuytrens Contracture, which is both painful and restricting. Good news is...no washing up or ironing this weekend.

LadyLeftfieldlover I am sorry for you and your DH too.
RLS is one of the worst afflictions that I have come across.
Like yours, my husbands medications cause him to be dizzy, fall over and not be able to function properly. We are sleeping only a few hours a night. I have to get up with him as he would fall if I didn’t hold onto him. Hope you are both getting more sleep than we are.

Hello all. I am sleeping in the new room! My room has been taken over as elder son and granddaughter are here for the weekend. As requested I made meatballs and pasta for dinner, which went down very well. Good night.

Hello soop. Sorry not been around much at the moment.
DH is keeping me and the NHS fully occupied. We are up most nights with DHs restless legs syndrome (although in his case it’s restless body syndrome) . Neither of us getting much sleep.
It seems bizarre that with all his other health problems this silly RLS is the one that’s causing him most stress and discomfort.
Hope you and the lovely Mr Soop are keeping well. Hope to try and catch up a bit and read what you’ve all been up to.

Hi Doodle, my OH had RLS too (as well as various other ailments!). We have separate rooms as those other ailments cause him to have very difficult nights. The medication he takes for RSL have awful side effects so he can’t really function until around noon.

Sounds like progress Blossoming, I’m pleased for you.
Good news here, MrJ’s next nurse appointment is in a week, not thrice a week, he’s pleased, that and for a week now he’s been allowed to shower.
Fin now has a total body rash, so I was on duty today, he’s fine in himself, might be a delayed reaction to Amoxicillin apparently.
I hope brook is enjoying family time in Cambridge and Urms the ballet.

Good evening dear Kitcheners. Just a quick visit. Hospital visit was long and productive. We are not going ahead with cataract surgery at the moment. My retinas are very thin due to the retinal haemorrhages years ago and surged of any kind is risky. The cataracts are still very mild and the opthalmologist does not think they’re causing the problem. My retinas have not deteriorated, which is a great relief. The muscles on the right side of my right eye are hyperactive and are causing the eye to drift to one side if I look at anything for more than a few minutes. So, she is arranging for a Botox injection to those muscles. If it helps it will confirm that it is the muscles causing the issue. Then I can decide if I want to have 6-monthly injections or if I can manage it as it is. The consultant was so lovely and helpful.

Great granddaughter was dressed as a mermaid. Her wee brother dressed as Paddington. He underwent open-heart surgery as a baby. Now full of beans and a joy.

Urms your post reminded me of my mum. Very similar situation. Her mum died when she was 9. Not wicked stepmom but lazy and unkind woman brought in by her father who was an alcoholic and didn’t care. Mum left to bring up two younger brothers. Like yours my mum, mine was determined we would be loved and cared for. She was wonderful. We have both been blessed.

GDog has arrived with DD DSIL and baby. They go off tomorrow on their ‘end of maternity leave’ travels in the camper van leaving the lurcher with us. We won’t see the babe for a whole month! I know how lucky we are to see them so often but they will be missed and worried over.

I had a phonecall to let me know that my last application has been successful and I have now raised £8 100 from trusts and funds to get the church clock repaired and electric winders fitted! Huzzah! Now for the roof repairs …

I haven't posted on here for a while belated birthday wishes jaxjacky and anyone else I may have missed ,we have had a worrying week our son had some red hot plastic hit his face and neck due to a accident by someone at work ,luckily it missed his eye by a fraction ,he has seen Drs again today they are happy at moment he is very matter of fact so we are trying to be.Sorry I have rabbits on I know some of you are going through a lot worse,hugs to all that need them.

‘Evening All’.

Today has been a bit draining. A poignant day remembering my lovely mum who died 5 years ago. She used to say of Himself ‘he could make a cat laugh’. She had some good sayings, my mum. Her own mum died when my mum was 9 years old. She had a horrible childhood with a truly wicked stepmother. Her father (my grandfather) worked away a lot in South Africa so the home situation was dire. My mum was determined therefore that, with my dad, my sister and I would grow and thrive in a happy home. We were very lucky to be so loved.
