I need a hug

Just checked on line and local surgery has a 3 week wait for a tel. apt and almost 4 weeks for a face to face. All aps seem to be with a group of trainee docs/locums /whatever who seem to have placements at the surgery and this group changes regularly. If I wanted to see a female GP who is actually permanently at the surgery (although now only part time )then the next face to face apt is in 5 weeks time. Seems all the 'trainees' are being used to take most of the apts.

I think the dreary, dark, gloomy days don't help, far easier to have a more positive attitude when the sun is shining. I'm sending hugs & happy thoughts to all who are feeling down at the moment, and some virtual

Sending you a really big hug. Sometimes a hug is what we need. My old dog puts up with me hugging him but I am sure he would far rather I didn't! He had no choice in the matter as I felt really in need of a hug today - missing my brother, husband and Dad who all died in past five years (husband and brother both only in their fifties and sudden deaths), rarely see my son as he is working long hours and work just wasn't fun (it usually cheers me up). Add rubbish weather, chronic pain and recent death of a dear friend and I could have happily hugged a total stranger given half the chance! Still, tomorrow will be better.

I am overwhelmed at the response,almost 100 hugs from you all it is so heartwarming.
I feel better today ,it must be the power of the hugs,I went to a friends and she cooked lunch.
I hope those of you who are feeling down for whatever reason soon feel better,its good to feel someone cares enough to reply,and that we all need the comfort that brings.

I understand completely downtoearth and very often feel this way too.
Some days, I am full of positivity and others I just want to weep; Monday afternoon I felt so low I had a hot shower and sobbed and sobbed and sobbed! I came out with very puffy red eyes and blamed the shampoo.

dte - I too live alone, so no morning hugs here. The adults in my family are not ‘huggers’. The obligatory hug and kiss greeting when we meet. But the hugs and kisses I get from my little grandchildren are the best 🥰 And today, I got a lovely hug from my teenage granddaughter, when I dropped her off after her hospital appointment 😘

Treetops05 I know how you are feeling, the only hugs I have are from my children and grandchildren who live in the south, my youngest and family are in Australia. We are in the Midlands. Husband won't hug or show any kind of affection at all. It's a very lonely place to be. It's a second marriage for us both. He was so different until the time we married. Thank you to the grans who have sent hugs to those who need them. Hugs and 💐 to all.
