Secret santa gift ideas please

Do you know what she does or doesn’t like?
This year we’re only doing small (as in not expensive) edibles for adult family. For two of them I’ve bought the packs of dark chocolate ginger and pates de fruits from Waitrose, but I know they like such things. Certainly under £20 for one of each.

For another I’ve bought one of the big ‘ball’ packs of Lindor - I know she really likes them and would never buy such a gluttonous big pack for herself!

I purchase holiday crockery (from charity shop if possible) with delicious homemade nibbles, cellowrap, pretty bow. Always well received. People love to have nibbles to pull out for guests.

I’ve just bought a picky friend cashmere socks.

Anything in the way of clothes is risky, unless you know her taste. Scented candles are good but again I would avoid the over-scented “commercial” brands such as one finds in Garden Centres. Consumables are generally safe eg boxes of chocolate brownies, unless she is GF, or unusual oils and flavoured vinegars, artisan honey or fruit in alcohol -all available within your price range

I suggest that you Goggle Gifts under £25/30. I've just done it and lots of ideas come up from John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Etsy, The Body Shop and many more. Good luck choosing.

Scented candle? There are some really lovely ones around nowadays, in beautiful glass pots. Or a chiffon type scarf? Orchids are lovely too, Tescos have some really unusual colours.

That’s why I’m glad I don’t buy many presents and just give cash.

So many fussy people who really don’t need anything and are a pain to buy for.
