We love our Alexas and find them very useful - not gimmicky.

Modern furniture ours is the opposite antiques from years ago.
Not everything modern is for me though well not of interest to me. I gave a dish washer away couldn’t stand it and I wouldn’t have an air fryer.

On reviewing the candidates I don’t have a fire pit or a dog though I would dearly love the latter.

No slippers, although they look lovely Fanny, or shoes.

Just wellies or lace up boots.

I nearly put iron down, as it hardly ever comes out...except for bits and bobs of sewing.

I'm the rarity who had a spiralizer and loved it toscalily. Really want another one!

Dishwasher - had one in the past. Never used it. Too much faff. Easier to just wash up.

Tumble dryer - had one in the past. Not good for clothes.

Husband - had one in the past. I'm not the marrying type.

TV - just don't understand the concept of sitting around the TV watching the same thing as the rest of the household.

Alexa - just a gimmick. And I'm a low tech type.

Ironing board - I have an iron, but only use it on DGS's school trousers and just do them on a towel on the table.

Air fryer - but I think I want one!

Agree about the dishwasher. I wouldn't be without mine and I am a bit lazy! I haven't got a tumbler drier though. Haven't got a cat, enough pictures on the wall, enough cupboard space or an air fryer.

No air fryer nor will there be (have a Remoska), no tumble dryer, hairdryer, food mixer, BBQ, never had a dog and won't ever.
No one's admitting to no mobile phone?!

Oh, and I don’t have an ironing board. I have an iron somewhere, but it must be with the hair dryer. Never sees the light of day. I am bemused when people talk about ‘the ironing’.

can I turn the topic around? I have a top rate dishwasher, which I hardly use now, one person and it is quicker and much cheaper to wash daily dishes by hand. I wish I had not bought it when I moved
