Why does anything I drop in the kitchen land in the cats' water bowl?

Why, when you're down to your last slice of bread, does it always burn in the toaster? Never the first, second or 15th; only your last slice.

Why does my gooseberry bush, which is prickly enough, goodness knows, have a nettle growing in the middle of it?

Fly's in the kitchen, back door wide open. Why oh why do they insist on flying up and down the room instead of clearing off out the door.

It is probably Nature's way of protecting some of them. It's still too early for blackberries here in Scotland - we have raspberries hiding in the nettles.
