I wouldn't, but I am a bit of a tomboy still at my age. But that is a practical and useful side of me.

However in my previous (married) life... my brother in law wanted to become a woman - he had felt in the wrong body. Needless to say, it destroyed his marriage, my sister was devastated (tipped her over the iceberg of a lot of other culminated problems and ....sadly, RIP). He is now a woman.

I can't judge. I've not walked in that person's shoes. I've had to forgive in order to make peace with myself and move on from my sister's death.

Froglady. A friend of mine had 3 boys, a stillborn daughter, then 2 more boys. I wonder if there's any truth in the 'old wives' tale' that some people can only give birth to one sex of child.
I have mixed feelings about coming back as a man. It would be interesting to find out what it is like. On the whole, however, I prefer being female.

That isn't discrimination though. As I said, it's a social and cultural thing. Not valuing education. It certainly isn't a lack of ability. Some of the bottom set boys I've taught have been sharp as tacks. But they and their families, mostly, don't regard education as being for them. To change that, it isn't just educational reform that is needed, it is a whole shift in cultural attitudes.

No, not working class boys in those institutions. They're still run by white men though.

Born in the 1940s and married in the 1960s I disliked my role as a housewife. So, yes, at that time I would have liked to have come back as a man. Nowadays I don't want to come back as anything except perhaps a well-looked-after dog.
There's an old joke about God distributing the "bits and pieces" between Adam and Eve. Adam is eager to be "the one who can pee standing up" and quickly bags it. Then God says "Well, Eve, that leaves you with the multiple orgasm". Be careful what you wish for.

No wish to be a man Love being a woman. Interestingly a few years ago , my gs’s teacher decided to do a gender reversal in the play they were putting on and asked the girls to play the boys parts and the boys the girls. There was huge resistance, not from the children but from the parents. No way did they want that so he had to change his mind. My GS however said he wanted to do it and so came on in the undersea scene as an exquisite mermaid, really beautiful and got a standing ovation and a prize from the headmaster. He was never teased about it by his friends, he’s always been a popular child and happy in his own skin, and now at 13 seems to have no wish to repeat the performance, but he was great.

Why would I? I've had so much fun being a woman and intend to carry on. I've always done 'boy' things if I wanted anyway.

If we come back I’d like the chance to do something different, so yes.
Not having periods would be wonderful too. I’d probably get a vasectomy asap and avoid having children if I could, for the full self-centred experience.
