anyone tried the new online Wordle word game?

I failed today for the first time - I had the last four letters sorted by my fourth attempt but ran out of goes before getting the correct first letter!

tanith could it be that Wordle recognises American spellings of words, rather than English?

3 today seem to be lucky with my first word guess.

But twice now I’ve put in a word spelled correctly but when I enter it it flashes up not in the word list, what does that mean? Anyone explain?

Oh Martha! Don’t worry, I was referring that I was ‘amazed’ that I’d got it in three!
I got zero letters in my first go, and only one in my second, so to get it in three was a complete floor!
And when I said about the ‘green letters’ I was trying to be light hearted.

OK, OK got the message. It did make me laugh though.

We all select our first word by a variety of methods.
It doesn’t matter does it?
Although it is under “Chat” it is a game and the only person I’m playing against is myself, for fun as I love puzzles and games.
But Fanny and I are of the same mind - No Spoilers please ?

Jaxjacky, if you mean folk saying they try to use lots of vowels, or always start with the same word, or a word in an unspecified book they were reading, they already do and that’s fine. Anything resembling a hint would be just as bad a posting a spoiler in my view.

As it’s under Chat I’m interested in how others start off rather than just reporting, if they want to, although I agree with no spoilers until the day is over, of course.
