Perhaps near you there’s a prison for TW guilty of sex crimes or bestiality. No problem, they can all go there. Until there are separate prisons like that, males should be in male prisons.

Prisons are full of inmates that should be in mental health facilities. Many are pathetic, mostly harmless individuals who are in danger in prison. People such as this man are plenty unfortunately.

His claims are spurious. No one would accept them.

Wrong. The judiciary and others probably will accept them, I could tell you of claims and compensation paid that would send the majority of people into a tailspin. I can’t though for reasons of confidentiality.

That means (or should mean) that the criminal justice system records crime statistics under categories of biological sex, and records sex crimes committed by transpeople under their biological/natal/DNA sex, not as their acquired trans sex gender. But is that what really happens?

Can we please leave the fact that we all agree that his behaviour was not caused by his trans status now, then?

Instead, can we look at the other issues? Should a convicted criminal be able to self-id and be automatically treated as female? Should convicted sex offenders with penises be held in women’s jails? Should transgender people be counted as their birth sex in official statistics?

Grandtante finds it amusing , doesn’t believe it matters whether this individual is in a male or female prison, it matters. Women in prison are likely to have been victimised sexually, emotionally, physically, as children and in adult life. Many of them would benefit from being in a mental health facility with various opportunities for therapy.

A discussion on where limited resources should be aimed in the criminal justice system would be interesting. My understanding is that investment in perpetrator programmes don’t yield good results

This thread is about a paedophile now convicted of bestiality, who suddenly declares that he is transgender probably to get a softer sentence.

It is nothing to do with the transgender community and I think the transgender community would be appalled at his crimes and his claims.
