'TIM' & 'TIF' are banned on Mumsnet, along with 't*rf', and it's the same in many online forums.

The intention of trans activists is to cause confusion which has clearly been successful, as can be seen on this very thread, where some posters have been unsure whether a boy claiming to be a girl is a transboy or a transgirl.

We do need to stop trying to be polite by using the terms that trans activists have told us to use, and say clearly what exactly we are talking about.

Can I please ask that we all stop using the term "trans woman" - it's not true, these people are Trans Identifying Males" (or TIMS). Only women have the right to be referred to as women - trans activists are erasing our rights, don't allow them to erase our language too.

Exactly GillT57, they're impacted severely by this, as a Orthodox Jewish girls. But, the rights of transwomen trump the rights of all other females. I saw this post on MN and I think it sums the situation up perfectly:

A single sex environment can be completely different to a mixed one. Surely there's room for both.

I have a female friend who has been attending Men's Shed recently, doing woodwork.
Men's Shed clubs are okay with women being there, if they have similar interests to the men.
Nevertheless she has told the organisers to let her know if they feel there is any awkwardness about her being there.
She recognizes that the men might prefer a single-sex environment and she is prepared to back off, if so.
Transwomen, apparently, not only don't back off but push themselves forward at every opportunity.

I wonder if any of Petra's talk attenders ask how it could have been if Petra were to present in exactly the same way - dresses, hairstyle etc - without claiming to be a woman.

This is utterly shocking. Similary, I have been disturbed lately by how over the top the WI have gone regarding trans women, I hope this post doesn't seem off topic.
There is a woman called Petra Wenham who is a trans woman who is all over the place on tv and radio and was on the cover of a recent WI Magazine. She came to talk to our WI and our secretary in particular bends over backwards to be 'liberal' and to lambast anyone who disagrees but I think this is all very serious and is actually propaganda.
I have never had any problem with people being gay/whatever makes their life ok but not when it infringes on the privacy and rights of others.
There was a short article in yesterday's Times about how primary school age girls who don't like dolls or dresses are being automatically assumed to be the wrong gender. It's complete madness.

Strange that Helen Watts, who ran a Rainbows group in London, was sacked because she broke the "organisation’s volunteer code of conduct" by raising concerns that a boy who identified as a girl was still legally and physically male and that trans inclusion, while laudable, must not sacrifice the safety and inclusion of girls.

But a trans woman volunteer can pose for selfies toting a gun, a sword and a whip and that's absolutely fine.

It feels as though the world has gone absolutely bloody mad.

I hope that enough girls remove themselves from the situation that the Guide Association has to think again.

Whoever allowed this individual into the Guides movement needs removing from their post. You only have to look at the photos provided above to see this person is highly undesirable. It’s well known access is acquired to get at young girls through targeting organisations where they can. It makes me very angry.

The problem is that any criticism of someone who says that they are trans is assumed to be phobic, and many organisations fight shy of accusations of transphobia.

As we have seen, however, a number of more enlightened organisations are resigning from Stonewall's Diversity Champions scheme, as they are realising just how dangerous it is to disallow free speech. With luck, more will follow.

Unfortunately for genuine transpeople, Stonewall has set back their cause by many years.

You're not wrong SueDonim, There are a lot of parents contacting GG HQ to demand answers. As one poster said on MN, everyone is entitled to a private sex life but the fact that MS made their sex life public, by uploading dominatrix photos to Instagram, has made it open for public scrutiny. To also pose for selfies with guns just beggars belief and makes me question the GG safeguarding procedure.

Surely now this person will be sacked?How is there a shred of credibility left for somebody in this position, no matter if they are a real woman or a trans woman?
It seems to me ( and many) that organisations are falling over themselves to prove how inclusive they are .....with dubious results.

Sorry, that should have read "life-limiting things that women have to do when there are men around."

Women and girls can have nowhere for themselves now. No safe spaces, no clubs, no hospitals or prisons that are solely for women. Every single area is being commandeered by men who don't always have our wellbeing and safety as their priority.

Most importantly, women need a place to call their own. To my mind, this is vital. Sadly a core part of being a woman is the fear for threat of sexual or physical violence from men. this is the sad truth isn't it? Of course some/most men are incredible and would die sooner than make women feel threatened or less than themselves...but subjugating oneself to the fear of men is in our blood.

When I was in the Guides the very essence of its point was that it was a place where girls and women could just be. Without having to make themselves small/strong/available/invisible or any of those other life-limiting things that men have to do when there are men around.

Of course there were always men around on guide camps.
The gentle cocoa-making husbands of leaders, the kindly and ancient farmer who owned the land, but that a person who might need a condom should have access to the young girls sleeping in tents on a Guide camp renders the entire concept worthless and dangerous in my opinion.

The Daily Mail is reporting it now:

Girlguides launch probe into commissioner, 58, who identifies as trans after campaigners uncovered 'disturbing' social media messages and pictures including her dressed as a dominatrix and wielding an assault rifle.

Bus driver Monica Sulley, 58, reportedly became a guiding Commissioner in July this year, overseeing Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers in Southwell, Nottinghamshire.
Another snap showed Ms Sulley dressed in a tight fitting black top and taking aim with what appears to be a fake assault rifle with a holstered handgun hanging from her waist.

She was also seen in a third picture posing with a sword and in a Twitter picture showing off her ample cleavage with the caption: 'Boobs, or did you want to see more?'

And whilst they're doing that, they've disabled their "contact us" portal on their website.

Interesting, are they in panic or self-righteous mode?
