No, it’s Neutrogena Petera.

Gosh, some ladies on here use very expensive hand creams! I’m delighted to receive some lovely scented hand cream as a gift but nothing will persuade me to pay more than I do for the Norwegian Formula which does a great job and also lasts ages - and when it seems to have run out I cut the tube in half and get at least another week’s worth!

Neal's Yard is the best I've used.

Georgesgran, yes, L'Occitane is lovely too.

Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector. 100ml - £12
Great for ultra dry hands and keeps skin hydrated for a long period.

This large 100ml last me the year and I use it regularly as I'm outside a lot which dries my skin. . Need to be glove free some of the time.

Another vote for Neutrogena here. It was actually recommended to me by my Mum many, many years ago! It came in a metal tube then and was advertised as being “ used by Norwegian fishermen”. I’ve tried others when I’ve been given them but always prefer the Neutrogena.

They have a presale on of a TSV coming up at the weekend. I ordered it yesterday and includes a hand cream as well as a couple of travel sizes. It works out quite good value and is a decent Christmas gift. It is on easy pays and will be one of my Christmas presents from DH.

I agree with muse. The Body Shop hemp hand cream is superb, one of the best I’ve used. Not got any at the moment though. I forgot to mention it in my post before.

If you can get to an Aldi, their hemp hand cream is wonderful. £1.49 for a tube, its sold out online. I bought 5 tubes recently so I wouldn't run out. Like most of their cosmetic stuff they discontinue it after a few weeks.

Just to add, I found it superior to the Body Shop (not to mention cheaper). Body Shop one was rather weedy and runny.

Hi, I use a cream I got through friends of anchor in Aberdeen and it's called UDDERLY SMOOTH MOISTURISING CREAM extra care cream it's really good and for all over and not greasy,it's made in USA and was originally for dairy cows you might b able to Google it

Aveeno is good, but our local Aldi had their own version (looked very similar!) and I've been using it for the past few weeks and it's just as good, but being Aldi, even cheaper!

O’Keeffe’s working hands is my favourite too. I put some on before bed - so it has time to work overnight.

The Avon Avocado hand cream is just wonderful, so nourishing and soothing. £2 per tube so excellent value.

I remember when I started nurse training in 1958. My hands got really cracked and painful. My mum rubbed glycerine into them at night and put on a pair of cotton gloves. It did sting a bit but worked like magic. No more sore hands for me..Cheap simple and very effective.

Weleda Skin Food is very very hydrating, mine get very chapped and sore in winter and this cream works a treat. I also use the cotton glove trick nipsmum uses.

I wonder why the Nulon my Mum used to use disappeared. I always remember her using it after washing up.

Going to try the Aldi version. Cannot apply it sitting down my Border Collie makes a beeline for me and wants to lick it all off again LOL!!

I’ve been using Attrixo for a long time and it’s the only one that is not too greasy and sinks in. My mother used to use “Care” which was a similar cream but I haven’t seen it for years.

I keep one by the kitchen sink, one by the bathroom basin and one by my bed. I've been using it for about 10 years now and it works!

Tried lots of different ones but always go back to atrixo it isn't greasy leaves hands soft and is inexpensive

Nutrogena for hands Aveeno for body.

Please check that whatever cream you choose that it’s ingredients are responsibly sourced and doesn’t contain palm oil

Thank you for this post as my skin is so dry lately. My son says that I dont drink enough water but I cannot physically drink anymore! I have been trying E45 cream but it doesn’t seem to do the trick at all. I will be trying some of the ones that have been mentioned here.
