Interesting that you have a tw.t head in your neighbourhood timetogo2016; we have a knobhead in ours. Funny thing is that every one calls him that but nobody seems to know his real name and it seems that he's been known as that for as long as he's lived here. wonder what he's done to deserve it?
We have She who must not be named. But everyone knows who 'she' is. Busy body. Also have names for the dogs - Stick dog, Elderly dog, Mr Feisty and Sir Barkalot.
Next door neighbour is tw.t head because he is one. The lovely family, because they are. Billy no mates, because we never see anyone visit. The nutters, speaks for itself. Nose bone , she is soooo nosey and loves gossip. Slap attack, enough said. The fat controller over the fence. Double denim Dave, over 65 and wears jeans and a jean jacket.
We have 'drillerkiller' next door - so many weekends accompanied to the lovely sound of his electric drill. Their house is known as 'Swiss cheese towers'. 'The snooker man' lives two doors away - never seen without his cue, though I did discover he plays pool actually.
I remember my dad having a chat with "Walter", the man at the end of the road. He was really embarrassed to find out that Walter's name was actually Frank.
He had been given the nickname because he looked like Walter from 'Nearest and Dearest'. Have you been, Walter? Has he been?
I call one couple Mr and Mrs Tesco, as they both work there. Then there`s the woman in the dressing gown, hardly ever gets dressed, not even for walking the dog. We used to have Nasty Bugger next door, but he`s gone now. Nearly forgot Miss Chihuahua.
Mr Jetwash. 2 cars, a van, the driveway that the cars and van have stood on. Then their front door and porch. 3 times every week. For 2 years. Each session takes at least 2 hours and uses God knows how many gallons of water.
A read a great article by Jeremy Clarkson recently about nicknames. He has one friend whose name is Baxter Campbell, but everyone calls him "Two Soups" and another called Wayne Bruce who is known to his friends as "ManBat"!!
Our next door neighbours are neglectful and lazy and through other. They are great starters and finish nothing. Hired a mini digger but then remembered they had a skip in the drive. Digger had to leave and the job was ever finished. Planted gladioli is a 3” deep trough. They are now fallen over and lying on the ground ….. half covered with an old duvet that’s been knocking about since last autumn. They have to step over it to get to the garage. I can’t print my husband’s nickname for them because I’m not sure if it could be considered inappropriate or offensive.
Just reading a post by FannyCornforth and had to laugh at her nicknames for her neighbours, I've got nicknames for most of my neighbours like Jacky Gingernut, The Solicitor, Little Miss Snooty to name but a few - anyone else do this?
