Favourite saying from my adult Daughter is that “she is never too old for Spending Money”. She is over 40! Any more, ‘never too old for’ sayings in your family?
My husband's favourite comment, when I am doing something he deems inappropriate is 'how old are you?' My response is usually, why? How old do I need to be?'
Radio 1 for me! From dancing around to Sandie Shaw and Lulu as a child to dancing around to Joel Corry and Little Mix as a 57 year old I have always loved pop music.
Rock n roll ! I heard on the Today programme about an entertainer who visits care homes and sings ,encouraging everyone to join in. What was he singing? Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag , white cliffs of Dover etc etc. Good grief ,how old does he think elderly people are? What about The Who, The Stones, white snake, even Obladee Ooblada sounds dated.
@Yammy. I’ve watched Gallipoli several times for the same reason !! There’s a very early Mel Gibson film called ‘Tim’ in which he plays a young man with learning difficulties, who meets and eventually marries an older woman. I think he was in his mid twenties when he made it, but I don’t remember that much about the plot because his looks at the time were spectacular, and I was too busy lusting after him !!
I'm another skinny dipper ? nothing like beautiful Scottish water washing over you ? You are never to old to take a chance. Get out of your comfort zone.
