They have been filming locally in Bamburgh last week. He seems to have spent lots of the time out cycling around the coast so perhaps he hasn’t been “acting” much - his double has been seen at location. I’m sure it will be a fun film when completed.

Calendargirl I used to have a pet hate for Clint Eastwood starring as a desirable male when getting on a bit, worse still fancied by considerably younger women! Having said that I used to fancy Richard Burton in ‘Cleopatra’ when I was a schoolgirl!

As long as he still does a good acting performance, why shall he stop due to his age?

I would still watch Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood even though they are older now. They are both good actors.

There are also some very good older female actors. Judi Dench comes to mind. If they want to carry on they shouldn't let age stop them.

Joe Biden is President of the United States of America and he's 78, so I think it's alright for Harrison Ford to play Indianna Jones. Both look good for their age.

Harrison Ford can keep going for me. I appreciate his ageing looks as much as I liked his younger appearance.

Male stars, improve, like a good wine, with age.Give me a 50 + Eastwood or Ford in preference to the days when first appearing on screen.

I think the storyline is that of an ageing Indianna Jones, but still game. He’s been doing as many of the stunts as they’ll allow himself, so I guess it’s about what a fit 78 year old can do.

Agree, he may look older but if he can still act, and keep the audience entertained, why not. Older men can still be handsome. Just as older women still have talent and look good.

Somehow, ageing male film stars get away with it. And often partnered with attractive young female co stars 30 or more years their junior.

Clint Eastwood was another who comes to mind, but if he was director of his own film, he probably gave himself the best parts.

Why ? Just because he’s old ?

If there’s a demand for his films it’s perfectly reasonable to continue.

I did read there would some flashbacks to a younger Indiana so maybe they’ll use CGI to make him younger. He is milking the franchise, I thought he once announced he was done with the whole saga.
