An evil act

Probably some young kids with too much idle free time on their hands and living without too much parental supervision going on.

Sadly they may not have given a thought to the people they were upsetting by such hurtful vandalism

They should be made to clean it off so people can see who they are ,they wouldn't think it was funny then

I live in Fife. This is a dreadful, shocking thing. The perpetrators were probably high on something and should be punished. Eugenics might be a bit extreme.

They should bring back the humilation of public flogging. A slap on the wrist does not work on reprobates.
These vandals are offspring of people who should have been sterilised at birth.

My elder sister is buried in a very well to do area in Surrey. She died age 3 days old in 1942. As I live far away I don't get to visit her grave often but about 20 years ago I found the graveyard overgrown with bracken 4 feet high. When I uncovered the gravestone someone had carved three swastikas into the stonework. A stonemason recut the whole face of the stone. A very upsetting experience.

Looks like the sort of thing horrible little kids would do with no thought for the hurt they cause. Badly brought up little sh@ts. Fine them ,make them clean it up and fine their parents,too.

It’s part of the same continuum Bridgeit I think, people who are disaffected with the rest of society. Both are acts of terrorism to different degrees.

The thread is about desecration, I’m sure we all understand that there are many many other types of terrible behaviour taking place .......... sadly those that do these things really don’t care.. & probably don’t give it a moments thought .. you have to wonder what is happening in their own lives if they resort to this behaviour.

Ellan I think that it's a bit of both; a perfect storm like Hindley or the killers of Bulger.

Really wish they could be found, and that age doesn’t mean their identities are hidden if they are.

How else would you describe it, NotSpaghetti? The dictionary defines evil as 'morally wrong or bad, immoral or wicked', so I'd say the actions of the scum who did this would fit that bill.

There's something radically wrong with the brains of these people. Let's hope Karma isn't far behind them !

What hope is there for the miserable specimens who did this? They will surely be facing lives of petty criminality, poverty and a pointless existence in and out of various prisons and institutions.

Maybe some of them will find some kind of purpose in life. Maybe not. Sad and sorry creatures.

I wept today when i read this. Something very similar happened in Dumfries &Galloway last week. The problem is that here in Scotland there is so much hate and division, families have been ripped apart by bigotry and the children have grow up thinking hate and violence is normal.
