Good morning from a very snowy Oxfordshire, it’s coming down thick and fast at the moment, it wasn’t snowing at 3.30 ( don’t ask). I’ll read all the posts later but I forgot to put the bins out so wellies and jacket to put on.

Good morning from north Surrey where we have ground frost and a pink sky.
Got a txt yesterday to cancel my shift for this morning so I have booked myself in for gym session at 7.30, it will be good to be back. I have continued to pay my membership throughout both lockdowns, it is a local, “one off” gym in a warehouse, no frills. It has a friendly atmosphere and I have always felt comfortable doing my own thing.
DH is off for his Monday walk with friends. I will walk round to my DD and then walk locally with her and the boys. Will be a good few miles for me, and Freddie.
Was lovely to exchange dog photos yesterday, what a handsome boy Zorro was Sheep.

baubles, thank you. I love being with the little girls, but our relationship has always been like that. I say something and she comes back with something deeply hurtful. I’m sure she would be mortified to know how difficult I find it. ? I’m ever hopeful. ????

GrandMattie, how lovely it will be for you to see Iris. I hope the visit goes well and that your DD is feeling relaxed so that you can relax and not find it too stressful.

Silver Birch was indeed one of the garden centres, Marydoll, it’s a favourite of mine too. What a beautiful spot your brother lives in. Your outing yesterday sounds ideal, lateral thinking on the part of your DD.

Your delicious breakfast had my mouth watering yesterday Muse, I have a horsey friend who persuaded me to get on horseback a couple of times for a gentle walk about, which on the last occasion turned into a terrifying gallop along a beach. I haven’t quite forgiven her and that was fifty years ago.

EV I know what you mean about needing a cardigan I’m a cauldrife cratur too. Glad you’re feeling better Auntieflo

Such beautiful dog photos yesterday. While I was walking mine yesterday we stopped to talk to a couple of lambs, there are just two and their mum in a little field which I pass most days. Anyhoo yesterday they came right up to the fence and one of them actually licked my hand! I was thrilled. I took the photo with the mum a couple of days ago, the wee lambs have such gorgeous faces.

More of the same for me today, a bit of a walk, a bit of reading, a bit of baking and there goes another day. Wishing everyone a peaceful Monday.

Yes, Mick, it'll be interesting to see how people react to being given "freedom". I suspect there will be a mixture of reactions - thos who embrace the freedom a bit to eagerly, and those who will proceed with excessive caution!
I have the gardener coming at 9 to "wreck" my garden. we have been here nearly 9 years and apart from planting an olive tree [which need a radical haircut] we have done nothing to it. I never liked it in the first place so... here goes. I shall be removing a load of shrubs, especially the varigated bay laurel that I loathe, severely prune back my lovely myrtle, etc., and plan a whole load of new shrubs and perenials. I shall pay for this with the money I got back from HM DWP for 11 years of unpaid pension!
This will make life a little complicated as DD is coming today for two nights at an friend's [empty] house. We shall see Iris for the first time since her operations. I have already started to say the wrong thing to DD so, sadly, shall be treading on eggshells as usual. I get terribly stressed and anxious, worrying at not getting her or DSiL cross with me. I normally have my foot in my mouth, but it is multiplied by 100 when they are around.
I hope everyone has a good day - weather looks promising with sunshine forecast, although the temperatures are pretty low. May you find little pockets of joy and some flamingos in your life today.

Good morning Mick and all who follow from a dry and cool north Wales where I’m enjoying the chamberpot ☕️ and writing a mini shopping list for Boots!

Oh the joy of perusing nail varnishes later - I always treat myself to a couple of new colours each spring and this time they won’t cost me anything as I’ll use the points mounting up from DHs hearing aid payments ?

Will probably pop in to Marks as well, it’s been a while and the urge to splurge is upon me!

Good morning, everyone, from a chilly, soon to be wet Torbay!

Yesterday I learnt that the helicopter, which has been around for much of the weekend, has been deployed in search of a 17 year old local lad who has been missing since Saturday evening and is considered vulnerable. He was last seen in my neighbourhood. What a ghastly time for his family!

Today, my bubble mate and I are escaping to my holiday home for a night at Whiddon Down. Naturally rain is forecast there, too but it will be a change to be out of Torbay. The WiFi isn’t great there so I probably won’t appear on tomorrow’s GM thread.
