Sorry to hear your news Hellogirl .
DH has three areas of sun damage for which he has been prescribed cream. He has an area near his ear which we have both been worried about. He is to have a biopsy on that one. Not sure how long he will have to wait. He wasn't a happy bunny when he got home, he was finally seen over an hour after his appointment time.
DD2 was diagnosed with malignant melanoma after a mole removal around Christmas time and has subsequently had a big operation on her face. The only saving grace is that it hasn't spread. She is left with extensive scarring but is incredibly positive.
I just hope that DH is not going down the same route. He is just coming up to 5 years in remission from Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Sorry to be on a bit of a downer, it's made this last year even harder. I will be happier tomorrow, promise xx

Hellogirl I am so sorry to hear about Mia. I hope she passed peacefully and at least you know that she isn’t in pain or suffering. It must be very upsetting though.

I’m unsure if knowing where Mia’s life ended is slightly easier than the days going on and you wondering and not knowing where she was.

Hellogirl, I'm so sorry to hear about Mia. I know how stressful it has been for you while she has been missing. It's probably no consolation to say it's better to know than go on not knowing. She had a lovely life with you and has not suffered injury. RIP.

I hope you cam remember what a good companion she was to you and I think your H was very attached to her as well.

I wasn't going to post - too many activities to catch up with at this late hour. Then I saw Hello's post.
I am so sad for you. I have no idea how old Mia was but I think I must join in with the view that although she's left you, you no longer have to just hope, worry and wonder and perhaps never know. The not knowing is always worse, I feel. It's brilliant that she was found and you can take her back where she belongs. My own little Nouba cat is safely in a pretty casket on a sunny shelf in our house where he can watch over us all. His little Siamese friend visits the garden every day and probably can't understand why he never comes out to speak to her any more. Sad times. But we have to focus on the good times - think what a wonderful life Mia had and the love you were able to give her. Those memories are what count now. Take care of yourself x

Hellogirl So very sad and sorry to hear your news. Mia was one of us lot and we know how precious she was to you. I wish that I could be with you right now. I wouldn't say a lot. I would listen and be there to comfort you.

I'm unable to spend some proper time in the kitchen until later this afternoon. We have our second vaccine appointments to attend. We also need to go into Campbeltown for house decorating paint and brushes etc., I have offered to help MrSoop to smarten the house interior. After I've honoured that commitment, I shall paint a watercolour portrait of Hattie.

Apologies for dash-in. I will return later this afternoon.

A big day today - at last being allowed to visit a very good friend in her garden. I'm taking her the Aran beanie I've made for her as she has lost her hair to gruelling chemo treatment. I hope it fits her - it looks OK on me! I haven't knitted for ages and it was the discover of a hank of Aran wool in a drawer that spurred me on.
And I have to see the dentist too - always a pleasure .

Well it’s been non stop rain here in Inverness so far today so I’m in the kitchen nice and early for a change. I’ll be popping to Tesco later as there’s not much else to do when it’s so wet and it will save me going on Friday.
Such good news about your second jab soop and hope the shopping for decorating stuff goes well later. We’ve not visited Campbeltown or that area of Scotland yet but may do later in the year when allowed
I’m sure your friend will like her new hat anno, to me it’s always more special if someone has taken time to make a present, so thoughtful of you. I hope you both enjoy your long awaited get together

The rain has just started here Brooke and I'm very disgusted as the forecast was for dry weather. I've visited mum who was ok. She can be very difficult but was manageable today. Then I visited my oldest chum and had homemade hot cross buns and a spicy cake before the rain started. I'm now home and pottering til the WhatsApp chat at two. I hope your second Jag goes in smoothly Soop and Macsporran.

Sar I understand that you have family health issues to face and deal with. My thoughts are with you.

We've had the second "jags" and have been into the 'Wee Toon' for paint and other house decorating stuff. Home again and ready to sort through a very cluttered computer room. We had a call this morning regarding the new suite. Only a further two months to wait! Never mind, the room looks so much better without the oversized sofa and chaise. We're using a couple of fireside chairs at the mo' No complaints.

I'm sorry to have to leave you without catching up with all your messages.

The room is chaotic. Stuff to store. Stuff to chuck. Stuff unlimited. There is barely room for me to walk across the floor.
