Shameful hypocrites the pair of them. I’m amazed they are unable to see why people are so peed off with them. Living in a multi million pound house and preaching about charity. Wake up you loons!

So why weren't Harry and Meghan prepared to put the same amount of effort into making her transition into the royal family just as successful? My guess would be because she wanted it all on her own terms. All these adjectives like "painful" are very exaggerated.

From what I have read, if there is any truth in it, they are on the verge of splitting!!

This makes me think of Last Night of the Proms when Tom Bowling is played and a regular prommer used to pull a line of handkerchiefs out of his pocket and pass them along so everybody could have a good 'weep'

They did apparently make an announcement about this on Instagram. I didn't actually see it "in the flesh" but it was mentioned in my news feed on my iPad. What I don't understand is why they can't just turn off comments. I'm nearly certain you can do that.

I absolutely do feel sorry for people who receive abuse online. It is threatening bullying behaviour and is often dangerous. JKR for example has received the most appalling abuse (whilst talking to children online she was targeted with porn) under no circumstances should we minimise this or suggest that people shouldn't complain about it.

I just wish they'd do what they said they'd do. Leave public life behind. Now we have more of them than we'd ever have had had the stayed here.

I don't quite get it, because isn't spotify a social media company, and Netflix to an extent? They have recently signed deals with these, so I guess they still want to get themselves heard but without the constant criticism.

They drop anyone or anything as soon as it's not useful to them, so yes you are probably right, too much flack on Twitter etc.

So many 'celebrities' complain about the abuse they receive from on-line trolls and how it has affected their lives, expecting the rest of us to feel sorry for them. Well, don't read it then. If anyone was bombarding me on a daily basis with abusive messages I would come off social media altogether. I may find myself at a loose end from time to time during lockdown but I would rather dig my garden with a teaspoon than fill that time reading about these self-important and opinionated people pontificating.

It might be the press making a story out of nothing, but who are all these "friends" or "people known to them" who let the information slip? And of course it is always from their own perspective.
Did this sort of news drip not start with Diana and her friends, and that was in the days before social media?

Anyway the report about them giving up social media is just the Press once again making a story out of nothing. They are no longer using personal social media accounts. No surprises there as it would be practically impossible to keep up with 'feeding' their Foundation's Twitter/Facebook/Instagram etc accounts, as well as their personal accounts.

They’ve had Arche talking in their New Year message although they claimed to want to keep him out of the limelight. What next?

It was in the news a couple of days ago that her sister has a ‘tell all book’ coming out in a week’s time. Maybe timing influenced Meghan’s decision.

‘Airing your dirty washing’ about family always seems distasteful. Personal moments and events within a family setting then brought out to tickle the public’s fancy. Not nice.

Mind you, when Trump’s niece did it, lots of people bought her book. Perhaps if you’re not keen on the person who the book is about you’re more happy to read the revelations.
