Not traditionally so, but I have my own personal superstitions, which are a bit too mad to go into here!

What is your favourite non fiction book?

Walk across America..David Jenkins..

If you had 20 pieces left to finish in a 500 piece jigsaw and you dropped the tray on the floor and it fell apart, would you start it again??

Yes.

Do you remember the first person you ever loved ?

Yes, I was 17 and he was the boss’s son. High summer, short dress, gin and orange (!) open car and dancing in the dark. He was Jewish so his family put a stop to that.

Do you ever regift items?

Yes, I do occasionally. It's a habit learned from my mother who used to give my gifts to her back to me on my birthday.

Have you ever fallen down stairs in public?

Not stairs (except at home) but have tripped on bad pavements and both times was helped up by lovely people.

Is there a fashion from the past which you particularly liked and would wear again if it returned?

Dresses with peplum waists-I made quite a few. But I’ve just looked them up and they’re already back-so now I just need the body!

Do you have a regular weekly menu planned and stick to it?

Yes we eat low carb so I have to have the right ingredients..

Do you buy antiques or stick to modern furniture?

When I married my much older late husband, I took on his inherited antique furniture. Some I like, some I don’t. Four years after his death, I’m contemplating selling some of it, there is too much.

Did you have a trouble free menopause?

Yes, sailed through it.

What is your least favourite thing about minus temperatures?

Slippery underfoot I would think

What is your least favourite thing about stinking hot days ?

Having to swelter under factor 50, sunglasses, a hat and long sleeves to protect my fair Scottish skin and sensitive eyes. Am genetically designed to live under cloudy skies in a cold northeasterly wind.

Is there any junk food you would confess to enjoying?

Gosh, loads! Not fast food, I've never had a McDonald's or KFC, but things like pot noodles and crisps.

What is your favourite cake?

A good moist fruit cake

Do you like to swim ?

Yes, I love swimming. Don't go much lately. I was brought up by the sea so swimming was easily available.

Do you have an Avon lady? Or did you? I don't suppose they are allowed to do the rounds now due to Covid.

I do! She only started up last Summer. I pay online and she drops the stuff off. She's a lovely Polish lady - I even got a Christmas present!

What is your favourite perfume?

It was Jo Malone Basil / mandarin etc. But I have been researching a book and found Mitsouko. I have obtained a small sample and it is lovely.

Do you wear face powder?

No, I used to when I wore the 'full slap' but no longer.

If you could travel back in time to a happy memory which would you choose?

Meeting up with my mum and sisters for Saturday lunch in Belfast.

Did you ever go on a holiday somewhere that was disappointing?

Benidorm, hated it?

What gives you a “happy attack” as opposed to a panic attack for instance?

At the moment just going out for a walk.

Nightie, PJs or nothing ?

Definitely a nightdress

Which is the first shop you are going to visit once Lockdown has been lifted?

I won't be going to any shops.

How old were you when you lost your virginity?

16 in 1960

Do you wear a penny, apron or overall when doing housework.?

Apron if it involves cleaning liquids e.g. sprays/bleach etc. Not otherwise.

Have you got a really efficient way of keeping your feet warm in the house?
