I had to go into Speyer this morning. It's our nearest big town and I love it. Have lived in the area since I came to Germany. I used to work there and driving in in the mornings would take my breath away with the sun shining on the historic spires and medieval buildings.
Today was a perfect September day and I was in tears at the sight of it because I haven't been since the start of the pandemic.
And then being able to sing on top of all that! I was helping out the choir at the church music school I used to attend as they are preparing for conducting exams.
I took this picture of the Cathedral. About half an hour later the sun would have been round the front but I had to get home - singing makes you hungry!
I'm just amazed at the way they shoot up overnight. So delicate
I couldn’t resist this single stem multi-head sunflower outside the National Trust shop in Lacock today, it was amazing!
