My father used to put money in an envelope and put it in the Christmas tree for my Mum. He could never be bothered to buy any presents for any of us, Mum always bought our gifts with her 'allowance'
My worst gift was a see through red negligee from my MIL for my first Christmas as her DIL. It was that awful cheap itchy material too. I feigned my delight.
Best gift from hubby, a beautiful ruby ring for our 40th anniversary, a couple of months ago.
Engagement Party and then Hen Party
Strawberry plants- what is the problem with them, can anyone advise, please?
The land is dry, and the people are ...stupid?

. I tried to be pleased as he had made such an effort, and eventually we saw the funny side! Over the years his present buying has improved as he realised that such things as kitchen scissors and pyrex bowls would never be things I'd want for special occasions.
