Good Morning All x.
Quite a heavy and dull sky, very still everywhere but it's dry. Can't really tell how the rest of the day will be as it began like this yesterday and the sun came out late afternoon which ended rather pleasantly.
Grass cutters were here yesterday and the smell of mown grass everywhere is wonderful. I can't get enough of it. It was coming through the bedroom window as I drifted off to sleep---better than any sleeping draught.
Then, horror of horrors again, that dratted helicopter and this time it was overhead ! I'm sure they knew I'd gone to bed so decided to be mischievous
I couldn't hear myself think ! It sounded like a heavy old thing and I had visions of it landing in the garden. The noise would have removed plaque off your teeth.
I'll probably read in tomorrows paper what it was all about, like last weeks debacle---when it was a stolen vehicle.
Needless to say, I soon dropped off and probably wouldn't have heard a bomb exploding.
Hoovered past myself yesterday and the difference was clearly visible but I was jiggered. That little hoover lived up to its name, Whirlwind. A more gentle cleaning of the windows today
as the window cleaner was here the other day so the inner " film " was noticeable.
Expecting a parcel today so must listen out for that. I did my local shopping yesterday so no need to go out either. I made myself a mixture of melon, strawberry and peach after my mixed grill and it was so refreshing, so it's the same today while it's still fresh. I don't mind having the same meal two days on the run---better than having waste.
Best wishes to the Birthday girls, the G,G's xx

Good to hear that Mick's itinerary is coming along nicely for his break. I always connect Harrogate with their beautiful floral displays which I remember vividly and Betty's cafe.
Wishing everyone a good day with better news on the Gillybob front. Stay safe one and all with thoughts to absent friends xx.
