How did you manage before lockdown? Did you have to leave them all day then?

Sorry, but if he needs to give notice to his employers for a non emergency then I’m afraid that there is nothing you can do.
What usually happens when you are at work? If you don’t normally work a full day , then you will have to work it out with your Employer and tell them that you can’t do a full day at such short notice.

Or check on your local Facebook group, to see if there are any local people who walk dogs, for people who have to go out to work all day. They're CRB checked, licensed and insured.

I would also consider doggy day care but remember to check that all vaccines are up to date.

Hi all i work in a school and they wanted me to go in for i full day only and our dogs are never left except for a couple of hours but the other day when i rang him to say the dog has to go to the vets the next morning he was able to take this off without any notice and took the whole day off but when i said about having to go to work he said he would need notice i just felt a bit put out about it all maybe i am wrong.

Maybe his workload got heavier. Maybe some of his colleagues have taken annual leave at the same time. Maybe it's a tricky time of the month for his particular job. Any of these/all of these/none of these could be the reason. Try doggy day care.

I think you're one of those very naughty children who do anything but work at school.

Trying to work out why all these arrangements you make (or don't make) with your partner are over the phone. Doesn't he live with you? Or are you secretly texting him while you should be getting on with your skoolwerk?

Visit to vets would be treated as an emergency. Looking after them for you to go to work isn't. Maybe taking too many days off for dogs would put his job in jeopardy. As others have said, look for doggy day care.

You could go home at lunchtime to see to the dogs and eat lunch from your school lunchbox.
