N&G you need to kick Morrison’s into touch.
Waitrose and Ocado both email me my receipt on the day the delivery is due and draw my attention to any substitutions. If I am not prepared to accept them, the delivery driver removes them from the bag before putting it on my doorstep. And of course the cost is deducted.
If Waitrose and Ocado can do it, so can Morrison’s!

Hello everyone. I don't post very often but I read what you are all up to every day. Life is hard for so many at the moment but Soop's kitchen is always here to uplift the spirits ??
I'm worrying about my DH. Today he has woken up with no strength in his left arm and cannot grip anything and it is aching badly. This is not the first time he has had this problem, two weeks ago it was his right hand. After a couple of days it gets better.
I think a visit to the doctor, when that's possible is on the cards. He is not one to make a fuss about anything, he sailed through chemo 4 years ago, so I know that when he says it hurts, then it hurts.
I've made a plate of cupcakes this morning and he did eat one before going back to bed.
I know in the great scheme of things this is minor but I do worry.

I am on my fiftieth day of not leaving house or garden........honestly I am fed up to the back teeth of not being able to pop out as and when added to which we have missed GC and AC's birthdays. I know it is for good reasons and will carry on isolating until told otherwise, sorry moan over ?

Good idea Charley , I suspect once its safe to get together we'll have a giant family Do-0ver party for everyone . Cooper was in better form today as his roman swords and shields that I sent arrived so there is a battle royal going on in their house at the moment.

I had a Morrisons delivery yesterday with 16 missing or substituted item. The worst part is they no longer take away unwanted substitutions so I had some bizarre items. It wouldn't be so bad but I can only get one delivery a month so now I'm stuck till June.

Cherry , you have Cooper down pat, he is our 'naughty' boy lol He doesn't mean to be but as my Gran used to say' naughtiness sticks to him' !!

Good morning Soop and all my lovely friends on this wonderful site.

I have had a wobbly day or two but getting back on track now. The washing is outside and hopefully getting dry. A date and walnut cake in the oven for later and an apple crumble prepared as well. Maybe macaroni cheese for tea with some leeks in.

More hot toddies tonight and maybe some rose wine as well. Take care and tuck into the goodies. Oh and I love the photos on here, thank you for sharing.

A few weeks ago it took me a week, trying at different times of the day to get a Morrison's slot- now I can do it instantly. From one extreme to the other.

Today I received a call from the Mossison's man- he wanted to deliver 3 hours early- I was not even dressed. I fully expected my deliveries to be very late but each time it has been very early but never by this much. I did not complain.

* N&G* maybe Grampy could take the two boys out for a special treat once lockdown is over?

Susan young Henry always looks so happy- I do hope that the problem is resolved fairly soon.

soop I do hope you continue to rest and the pain is more bearable.

Oh N&G that’s so sad. Can you offer Cooper a special treat for when the lockdown is over. I know just how you feel. For different reasons my heart breaks over my DGS on occasions. We just want them to be safe and happy don’t we.

It is lovely to see the photos that people have posted.

I have been enjoying the sunshine too Cherry...and the flowers that are blooming in my patio pots, courtesy of a delivery from our lovely little family run local garden centre!

No cake baking today but made a lovely salmon, prawn and mushroom "Carbonara" using Lighter Crème Fraiche which makes a delicious but less rich sauce. It went down a treat! I am trying to make at least one new recipe a week at the moment! Most of them have been successful!!

Happy if ache-inducing afternoon repotting some plants and preparing pots for local nursery delivery at end of week. Have also cleaned bird feeders and removed the dishes which were suspended underneath in an effort to discourage the pigeons who had become all too good at perching and hoovering up the expensive sunflower hearts and intimidating the little birds. We now have two pairs of furious pigeons who can’t work out what has changed but who can no longer eat from the feeders. They keep flying in expecting things to be as usual and are very cross that there is nowhere to sit. Presumably they will get the message eventually, but I suspect it may take a day or two. They are bird brains, after all!

Hello CherryC, I feel honoured to have 'Silver Sea' framed. It does have a soothing atmosphere.

I've been troweling up nigh on a bucket full of crocosmia bulbs that are spreading all over the garden, especially where they are not welcome.

Now it's time for wash and brush up and relaxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Thinking of you all. Thank you for your company. I hope that we can share time with each other in the kitchen at sometime during tomorrow.

Been sitting in the back garden most of the day, it’s been a lovely day- warm with a gentle breeze. I pottered about and cut some blooms for a vase I’ve sat on the dining room table. It’s nice to have fresh flowers in the house again.

NanaandGrampy, Cooper has the look of a choir boy and a cheeky chappie rolled into one. So so difficult for him to understand that he was unable to have a big birthday party and I hope he’s not too upset. His next one will be a sensational seventh I’m sure.

Nannytopsy sounds like you had a lovely virtual get together yesterday. Hope your DiL is okay after her prang in the car. It’s a shocking thing to happen and awful news about the car potentially being a write off but your DiL is more important. Hope you are okay too.

It’s odd isn’t it cornergran, you have trouble sleeping for a few nights and then finally have a good night’s sleep and feel awful after it. It happens to me sometimes, hope it’s better after tonight’s sleep.

You are doing all that you can to resolve the issues that have sapped the family of confidence. Your tenacity and positivity will bring about that which we all wish for Henry...a healthy appetite and all manner of things that he should be enjoying right now.

Ann,Izabella,Maw and all other absent friends,I think of you often and hope you are all coping in these strange times.

I have been absent for a couple of days as we needed a couple of days to try and get our fight back after the let down of Henry’s medical team.We have had so much support,help and information and together as a family have formulated a plan based on the Drs advice and really helpful suggestions from friends and family members.We will aim to get a second opinion as soon as feasibly possible but in the meantime we will follow our plan and try and track down the elusive dietician and health visitor.

My daughter was interviewed for BBC radio on Friday.She is a Health Psychologist and on maternity leave at present but had a few hours off and I think it has done her good to concentrate her mind on something else if only for a few hours.

I certainly do feel a whole lot better. The joint pain has eased considerably. I feel liberated. I am wishing you lovely lot a pleasant enough day. We are fortunate. We have reunions in store.

I like Mr Corner. Cleaning of the bird bath is a very important exercise. I shall leave him a Scottish shortbread biscuit to enjoy with his well earned .

Daisyboots Sounds like our treatment varies a little. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. After the infusion (to guard against secondary bone cancer) the lumpy nodules on my hands and wrists puff up and hurts like hell. Three days on...feeling very much less pained. (hugs)

N&G Darling Cooper...one of our pin-up boys. He is such a lovely, happy young chappie. Think of the time when you will all be reunited. Imagine the laughter. Savour the thought of real hugs...because, by hook or by crook they will happen.

It’s true Corner at that age , a birthday is everything . I had a little cry yesterday which I do rarely but he was so excited to show us his gifts and asked more than once, when will you come and see me . No amount of explaining takes away his fear that we don’t want to see him.

Charley we had a chat with him this morning and he explained sadly that no one could come today either. Grampy had to have a quiet word with him when he asked if tomorrow they might come. I couldn’t explain to him.

Did you get a scooter too NannyT ?? ???

Hope everyone has a little sunshine today - it always makes me feel a bit better. Grampy is in the garden ( closer to the ditch if he annoys me lol) and I am hiding out indoors.
