Good Morning Wednesday

Good morning from sunny Essex. Seems like the weather is being kind to us while we are in lockdown! Busy day yesterday and edged my lawn so precisely! It didn't know what had hit it, as usually do an OK job but had all the time in the world. Cleaned my fridge also, and wiped everything twice before it went back!
Joe Wicks this morning followed by "I don't know what". Salmon fillet for dinner so looking forward to that!
A little outfit I'd ordered for my baby granddaughter saying "My First Easter" was supposed to arrive last Thurs, still hasn't appeared! Think deliveries are so busy now that there must be a backlog. Hope everyone manages a decent day xxxx

I have earmarked today for admin/computer work. Hopefully it wont take me too long.
A walk along by the sea later, I haven't bothered the last couple of days so must push myself to get out there today.

Gingster, I often use turkey mince. Some ideas might be:

Home made burgers
Bolognese
Chilli
Keema
Meatballs

Use plenty of seasoning and you should be ok. I am sure others can come up with more ideas.

Good morning Mick and all his followers and welcome all newbies. It’s a lovely morning here in Suffolk.
I thought my toe was getting better last night but it is sore this morning. It is annoying as I want to get out in the garden.
Hope today is kind to everyone.

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, it's only 4 degrees, yesterday was very chilly, so it hopefully, won't be as cold as yesterday.

However, the bed linen and washing was dry in hours. We are saving so much electricity, as the tumble drier is never on.
On the downside, our gas bill has shot up, as I have an urge to cook and bake and feed my neighbours all the time.
Some you win, some you lose!☺️

Talking of bed linen, when I went to get the fresh sheets from the cupboard, as I said yesterday, I found the Easter stash, I had forgotten I had bought before my incarceration.
I use this cupboard to store various suitcases, gifts, purchases for DGD etc, as it no longer has a hot water tank in it and it's the only cupboard she can't open.

I decided to clean it out to see what was hidden.
I found, 2 tins of Celebrations, 1 tub of Quality Street, I tub of Roses, 1 of heroes, 1 box of Turkish Delight, ( my favourite), 1 box of M&S chocolate fruit creams and 1 box of luxury choccie biscuits. ?

In my defence, they were bought long before Christmas to put in with my family's stockings and they were in a box at the very bottom of the cupboard. Ill health and painful hands have prevented a clear out up until now.
They are just out of date, but I have no pride when it comes to chocolate, I am looking forward to the feast!
In fact I scoffed the fruit creams and was quite miffed when DH asked for a couple of them.

Sadly, I realised, DGD, wouldn't be here for at least the next two months and the stash of sale bargain clothes may soon to be too small, so I will give DIL them for her.
A bonus all round and the cupboard is ever so tidy!?

When I was rushed to hospital last year, DD couldn't find the emergency hospital bag, which was at the bottom of the cupboard.

I got a right talking to from DS1, so it now sitting right at the front with bright ribbon tied to it, but please God I won't need it, anytime soon!

A day of pottering in the garden, sowing seeds and DH will get his baskets ready, as SIL left a surprise delivery of compost yesterday. I went out the back and two bags had appeared, I never even knew he had been. He is taking the sheilding more seriously than my own children. We are so fortunate that our daughter is ( eventually) marrying such a good man.
Simple things bring so much pleasure, I can't wait to get sowing!!!

For all who are struggling, especially those of us who are sheilding , finding staying at home difficult, and who can see no end to all this, lots of virtual hugs.?
Dragonfly, please be very careful if you have to go to the vet's, we don't want you to become unwell.

I need to get moving, I haven't made today's maths puzzle yet for posting. I just haven't had any spare time! ?

Good morning all. A glorious start to the day here on the Suffolk coast. A bit if frost on the lawn but melting fast in the sunshine. It’s going to be chilly along this coast but as long as the sun is out , who cares! Where do you get your energy from Gabrielle. I seem to start a job and then get fed up and move on to something else so everything is half done. I’ll take a leaf out if your book and tackle one thing at a time. I agree with you enjoying the peace and quiet at this time. DH is still refurbishing the birdhouse which he seems to be enjoying and I’m in the middle of chopping down the Pampas . The leaves are so sharp, I have to wear thick sleeves and gloves. I could only get turkey mince last week, so wondering what to do with it. I think it might be a bit bland and tasteless. Any ideas? Welcome all newbies. I love hearing all the daily reports and where you’re all from. Haven’t heard from Bluebell lately? She’s just up the coast from me. Hope she’s ok? ??

Good Morning from a bright and sunny Black Country. It was very warm yesterday and today looks like it may be the same.

It is my \Partners first day of being 'furloughed' today. This will be interesting. Lots of free time and nowhere to go .

Rang my Dentist yesterday. Well, the mobile emergency number on their answer phone. All he could do was send me antibiotics. No idea what will happen if it became much worse!

Popped out to the garage just now, and next doors cat had left a little 'present' of bits of a mouse on our patio. Just charming! Why not leave it in it's own garden?

Joe Wickes workout at 9am, then a shower and hair wash. who knows what the day will bring then?

Lovely to read what everyone’s doing. Sunny morning also in Surrey. DH and I will carry on gardening. By this I mean clearing undergrowth and neglected shrubberies. We have lived here for 4O years but have simply never had the spare time to devote to this very big challenge (it is a huge garden). We are exhausted and scratched to pieces from brambles - but we are able to be outside and productive so feel very very lucky. Stay safe everyone. I miss my GC as everyone does, I miss going out, but I know how blessed I am to have DH here with me - and will hold back fantasies of burying him under the shrubbery when he makes me furious on an hourly basis!

I think I might tackle some window cleaning today as I’m running out of jobs in the garden. And I’m actually running out of jobs for my DH to do .... I never thought that would happen !

DD1 FaceTimed yesterday - it was lovely to see her and my two DGS age 3 and 5 - what a handful they were being though ! I should have been there this week .. I wish I knew when I’ll be able to visit again

But I am with you about the DGC. My DD was trying to cope with a 2 yr old screaming for an hour. She told me I could have her - I only wish we could.
I'm anxious about my DS who is a deliveryman and he is the only one in his group without symptoms He was on his own yesterday.

Well done Urmston on your exercise. Did you see the news item about the 99yr old man who's sponsored walk has raised over £1 million for the NHS.? There's no excuses really, are there!

Well. We won't go short of fruit as the UK is flying in hundreds of seasonal Polish workers to work on the farms.
First flight has 180 on board. Thanks to all our Polish friends who do this every year. I for one, appreciate all your work having visited a strawberry farm in Kent last year, bought from the shop and met some pickers.

A very good morning from the start of a gorgeously sunny morningin Godalming.
Sun was just tipping the trees with a golden glow when I finished my run at a little past 06.30 and now the sky is blue and another nice day in store.
I may go for a ride (horse) later instead of a walk, more interesting and a different view.
Washing (leggings and running gear plus socks is on and dry by tonight if I hang it out.
Well, what to do? Brekkie...scrambled eggs as I have plenty and seeded wholemeal toast plus cloudy apple juice.
Sainsos is the cheapest locally @ £2 for over a litre compared with £2.16 for 900ml at Waitrose.
I'm expecting a white blouse from H&M today so I'll put a snack+drink together for Yodel driver.
Housework all done daily incl under beds and skirtings, mirrors, doors etc. So easy if you do the lot in one go, 3/4 hr max. Good exercise too.
I thinks that's all. Not very exciting but I'm ok with being on my own in peace and quiet.
Here's hoping everyone sees some sunshine☀️☀️ today and those with worries find some lightness to dispel the gloom.

Good morning Mick and everyone and a warm welcome to the new good morningers. It's another bright start to the day in Cheshire, but frost at rooftop level. The early part of yesterday afternoon I sat in the garden in my jacket and a throw over my legs, an hour later the sun was so hot I needed sun cream. I'm so glad we're having bright days, it would be just awful if it was pouring with rain each day.

I can't get on with TV at the moment and I've lost count of how many things I've started to watch on Netflix and given up on after a few minutes. I decided to make some more calls to friends I haven't seen for a while and that was lovely. All still well fortunately.

I will walk in the woods as usual this morning and spend time in the garden later. Then finish reading a novel which is full of ludicrous co-incidences, but I must know how it ends! An online meeting this evening. I read the minutes for that at about 3.00 a.m. as I've had a restless night.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire, looks sunny but cold out there today.

Had a video consultation with the vet yesterday and she said that the pooch has conjunctivitis and prescribed some drops. We took a long walk down to the vets to collect them yesterday evening.
No work for me today and I am still waiting for all the compliancy checks for my new job before I can start that.

I will write a letter to my DFiL and take it up to his care home with some sweets and pop it through the letterbox. We were asked by the home not to mention the virus to them and, as I can’t call him as he is quite deaf and it is frustrating, I thought a letter would be nice.

All the washing is dry and put away ... it’s so nice to line dry in the sunny weather.
Bit of housework today, some cooking and some tv watching... same as yesterday. The Easter chocolate and cake is all finished, so that’s probably a good thing.

Good morning from east London, blue sky and sunny outside and very refreshing when I stuck my head out the back door. Spent a bit of time yesterday trying to find out the rearranged bin dates due to the Easter break; needn’t have worried, first wagon was here at 5.45am as usual. It was mayhem when I went shopping yesterday; everyone was just walking into the store as there were no restrictions, then long queues to pay. When I came out, some sense had been restored and the queue stretched almost in a square around the car park. There’s a nice page on Facebook called ‘max in the lakes’ where the poster shows live video of walking his dogs in the lakes. I just love seeing the countryside in it, not many hills in east London to compare with that. Today, sorting out and bag clearing still going on, catch up with Gareth and a walk. Have a good day.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s raining! There was flash lightening in the early hours but no thunder so someone was getting the storm proper. Strange weather indeed for Spain so late in the year. Perhaps the sun is in lockdown too? Cesar the gardener will be glad he tackled the grass first yesterday - it took him over 3 hours. I don’t usually notice how long!

Yesterday I put my pumps on, put ‘Adele’ on my iPod and had a brisk walk for 30 minutes. I felt energised. I know it was only up and down the landing but it’s in the fresh air at least and it’s got a gorgeous view of the mountains. My knee that I had a problem with 2y ago seems a bit wonky. No swelling though so although I planned to walk every day I think it’s best to rest up today as it might flare if I overdo it in the beginning. Best be sensible, especially in these times eh?

Beef stew planned with tinned tomatoes and onions for the slow cooker. Will plate some up for my neighbour as per. We were saying yesterday (socially distanced) we hope Spain has done the right thing allowing some non essential workers to go back. It’s quite soon only 3 days after the numbers had peaked then plateaued. Only time will tell of course.
