Good Morning Easter Monday

Good morning from a chilly Glasgow. I started a tidy up of winter clothes yesterday??‍♀️

A couple of projects I thought of last night to keep me busy in the garden today and hoping the two bags of compost from last year can be stretched out to let me finish the job.

Had a catch up with family yesterday. The girls just assumed they wouldn’t be seeing us just now and got a great surprise as we had arranged eggs and some games and books dropped off at theirs before lockdown which DD1 had hidden away for them I don’t know what we would do without these catch ups to cheer us all and keep us going for a few more days.

Good morning all from blustery N Bucks. The wind woke me up several times in the early hours so I am still in bed with a cup of coffee and my book. So glad that although I had washed all the winter jumpers and packed them up, the bags are not yet in the loft so I can pick out one for today!
A surprisingly lovely day yesterday - under the circumstances. Long phone call from a good friend who always inspires me in the morning and then I took the plunge and rang round the 4 houses nearest me inviting my neighbours to pre-lunch drinks out the front- own chairs, own glasses, own wine and we had a very happy hour and a half “together” - two are on their own like me, one shielding, one couple have two little boys and another have their octogenarian MIL living with them for the duration. Because the houses are all at an angle and set back from the road we could each sit on our own drive at least 3-4 m away from each other. It helped that it was such a lovely day.
An after lunch nap in the sun then FaceTimes or phone calls with each of the DDs completed my day. It was middle DD’s birthday and she had had a lovely day.
Funny (but not surprising) how up and down we can be isn’t it?
I know many of you share sorrows and worries and I wish us all well.

Cold and grey here, been to wrinklies hour at Tesco as low on a few things and got some flour! Now off to allotment to water and do a bit more maintenance. Loved the poem, very apt!

Morning all! I am very late today but what’s the rush? ?
We used Houseparty yesterday, not Zoom but it also has security issues I hear.
I think there are lots of BBQs being planned - I have been told what I have to make already! With our luck it will start raining again!
Lots of lightning and heavy rain yesterday evening and cool today but there’s plenty of wind to dry the washing. Have a gentle day everyone.

Cold, grey and windy in our bit of North Somerset. First load of washing ready to hang out, with at least two more loads to follow. Will take advantage of the indoor weather to iron, file various bits of essential admin and possibly read this afternoon. Need to find a film for DH to watch or he constantly interrupts me - I am apparently unavailable to him when absorbed in a book, and this troubles him. Very wearing.

It's a lot cooler and cloudier today. It rained last night, which the gardens needed, but it is dry now.

Not sure what I'm going to do today, though there's a pile of ironing waiting so may tackle that.

I enjoyed the Andrea Bocelli concert last night. It lasted only about half an hour, but was very enjoyable. Quite eerie seeing all the deserted streets in the big cities around Europe, plus the empty cathedral in Milan, of course.

Good morning from the NE coast where we have another cold, windy, grey day much like yesterday.

I had very little sleep last night what with DH being up and down all night, worries about work, money and now this damned awful email. I kept waking thinking of other possible sites where I have used “that” password.

My DD did a little Easter Egg hunt for Evie yesterday and she FaceTimed me so I could join in . They were those little reusable plastic eggs so I’m sure they will be used again and again during this awful lockdown. It was bittersweet watching her going round their little garden with her little yellow duckling bag . Squeals of delight every time she found one. I miss her so much . ?

So glad to hear that little Henry is doing better Susan such a worry for you all. I hope the paediatrician and dietician can come up with something more long term between them . Poor lamb .

Smiling to myself thinking about your sister ringing just as you settle to watch something Harrigran . I used to think my sister had a spy camera in our sitting room as I would never hear from her for weeks and I’d just settle down to watch something and she would ring my mobile, then the house phone if I didn’t answer quick enough. She has since moved in with her “boyfriend” at the start of the lockdown and I have hardly heard from her since , other than the once she phoned me to say she had taken dad a homemade shepherds pie....it must’ve been huge cos theres been nothing since

Nothing planned for today and at 4 degrees it’s a bit chilly to do much in the garden.

Might find a cupboard to tidy or something just as exciting .

We are all missing our families and any opportunity to stay in contact is desirable. However, we need to stay vigilant, as with all IT security. Its so easy to become complacent, as our minds are focussing on other important matters.

Video meet app Zoom that has gained immense popularity among the enterprises, SMBs and schools in India and elsewhere to connect remotely, has also become a treasure trove for both ethical and not-ethical hackers who have zeroed in on the video conferencing app to find privacy and security bugs and make money.

One hacker interviewed by Motherboard who claims to have traded exploits found in Zoom on the black market said that Zoom flaws typically sell for between $5,000 to $30,000.

The vulnerabilities - everything from webcam or microphone security to sensitive data like passwords, emails, or device information - are being sold on the Dark Web.

A later good morning from me as I was desperate to finish my book so have been sat up in bed reading it. Turned out to be better than I thought.

Very windy and cloudy here in Northampton today, not at all like yesterday.

Did not get much sleep last night; feeling so stressed out and worried about the virus. My neighbour left some rhubarb for me yesterday, and now I keep thinking 'did I wash my hands after handling it? did I touch my face?' She has just come back from her mother's funeral in Holland, where there is no lock-down, just social distancing. Apparently all the shops are open over there and people are out and about. So that's made me even more worried. Can't settle to anything.

Well will try to have a good day, and hope that everyone stays safe.

Good morning from an overcast and chilly Essex. Seemed to have got used of the lovely sunshine lately so will be some indoors jobs today. There is a big walk in kitchen cupboard calling my name!
Sad news that my friend's 94 year old mother died of the virus. A big family but can't get together to comfort each other or arrange a funeral.
I watched Andrea Bocelli last night from Milan and remembered being on the roof of the duomo. Very moving to see all the empty streets and cities.
I will read all the previous posts now with my tea and hope everyone has a good Bank Holiday xxxx

A bit blowy and quite cold here on the Costa Mersey but at least the sun's shining. It poured with rain last night and was lashing against the windows so the cats didn't bother going out and instead settled themselves for the night.

StepD rang last night to see how I was doing and we ended up chatting for nearly an hour. A big family BBQ is going to be in order when all this is over, held in her garden as it's more than big enough to house the huge gang of us all together. Something to look forward to.

Step-GD who's the nurse is exhausted and was crying to her mum on the phone at the amount of deaths on her ward. The patients are all mentally ill. I feel really sorry for her but she's got a lovely partner who's very supportive, a lovely man.
All the Step- AGC had asked after their " nan ", me, of course , which was nice. It does give you a lift. They're scattered around the country and the last time I saw them all was last October.

Marmite toast this morning as I've run out of crumpets but never mind. Sundays left-overs for dinner but that's normal on a Monday for me.
Some washing to do to keep me occupied and a quick blast round the kitchen and that'll do.

I had thought about that, I did mention it to the vet, she said she didn’t think so, but will see her tomorrow and have a look. My dog is very sensitive and has all sorts of allergies so she thinks it is just one more thing she has. I will keep her inside until the vet has had a look though.

We use zoom for our on-line worshipping group. It would be shocking -funny if we got porn online.

I think someone noticed I had dropped off to sleep yesterday, mid service.

Urmstongran, there has been a lot of publicity about how easily Zoom can be hacked.
One example: A teacher in China was teaching her class remotely, when the system was hacked and pornographic images started appearing on the children's screens!?

We have decided not to use it, for obvious reasons.

P.p.s. Scentia do you think your little dog’s eyes might be as a result of the running beside your bike? i.e. it’s non-stop and faster than if you were running? I’d mention it to the vet.

Ate such a big dinner yesterday I nearly fell asleep afterwards, my WP did fall asleep and missed the end of a film ?. Watched the video we were sent from the 3 boys over and over again, they reenacted Star Wars for us. Stars in the making ?.
Not exactly sure what we are going to do today apart from chat to our families over the phone and I will have my light-hearted quiz with my epilepsy support group.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s another grey day. Looking out towards the sea, the pale grey sky just melds into the Mediterranean this morning. No horizon is discernible.

When I woke it took me a minute to recognise what I was hearing.... it was traffic on the road outside‼️
Non essential workers (construction, sanitary workers, gas and electrical engineers) are allowed back into work from today. That’s a green shoot!

We had a Zoom session set up for this evening but our eldest daughter & partner have been reading up on it and have huge reservations about continuing to use it. She wants us to delete the app. They would rather use Google Hangout. I suggested she contact her sister and sort it out between them. Has anyone else heard mutterings about it? We all bank on line and don’t want any gremlins! I might contact my cousin who was a computer analyst for the NHS and get his take on Zoom. I’ll let you know!
