a sunshine question

We have south face french doors in the living room,
would we get more heat in the front if the French doors were open or shut with a very gentle breeze.
If the doors are open would the direct sun light warm the room up faster,
than if the doors are shut that would to the glass magnify the heat?
The reason I ask, is that back in school days did any one do the magnifying glass test?
When you put a magnifying glass over some ones hand and
in using the direct sun shine see how long that could stand the magnified heat from the sun on their hands.
