I would like to change the pejorative use of language to something more positive

Here’s just one example from last year - if you google, there’s loads more

But it’s still used Teetime sadly

Bed blocking was changed to Delayed Discharge years ago in the NHS and Social Care.

I’m not talking about equality but a kinder more truthful language

WW you’re right though. We won’t be equal but language we use to describe can encourage negative or positive attitudes.

“Vulnerable bedless”? No that doesn’t sound right

It’s like ‘frequent flyer’ to describe people with chronic conditions who attend hospital/GP regularly - it seems to assume they do it unnecessarily

Well, I don't like the use of the term 'bed-blocking.'
Suggests people are deliberately choosing to hog a bed, instead of being there because there is nowhere else suitable.

Makes me sick quite honestly.
Ironically we all have to be equal under present circumstances.

It's always got to involve a division no matter what it's about.
It's never going to be a classless society is it ?
