I try not to look in the mirror first thing in the morning

When I have done so accidently I then feel very sorry for my OH who has to look at me!

Witzend My reading glasses are a curse! I don't look too bad from a distance, but my word close up with my glasses on, not a pretty sight. And first thing in the morning is particularly challenging. Luckily, my husband also wears reading glasses, so I don't frighten him too much when he first wakes up, before he puts them on. ?

I think 'Mother? What are you doing here?'

There is an old lady in my mirror , not sure who she can be. She catches me unaware when I don't prepare myself first.

This is a good laugh. My hair was such a sight this morning luckily my OH was still half asleep.
I see my mother too, she's there every morning. Why did I put that mirror by the stairs?

Actually, my bathroom mirror is quite flattering, it's not until I see a photo of the finished result that I realise it was lying.

Yes my house must be haunted. Every time I look in the mirror an old lady steps in front of me.

On "working from the office" days, I've always put full makeup on and dressed professionally in a suit etc. Since working from home, I haven't put makeup on once and, when I can be bothered, I'm dressed in leggings and jumper. The outgrowing haircut and grey roots don't help matters either. I realised how haggard I look when Facetiming family and I see that plain faced, dowdy little woman in the bottom right hand corner of the screen!

When I meet old friends I haven't seen for a while, I think they look old only for a few minutes then they seem as ever.

No, only have one mirror which is kept in a drawer

Yes, all the time. I am convinced aliens have invaded my whole body/face etc because the me inside looks nothing like this. I am slim, gorgeous, sexy etc till I look in the mirror and the exact words in my head are: “Who the hell is that?”

NEVER EVER look in a magnifying mirror
