It is hard. You develop a relationship with your adult children-in-law and it is difficult when that is broken. And you are bound to worry about GC's adjustment to the new situation. But you will be the rock - the constant - for your GC ,so may need to swallow your upset. So hard I know - both my siblings divorced and my parents found themselves a bit piggy-in-the-middle.
Good luck for the future. It sounds as though the young couple had a lot to deal with. I hope your son's mental health remains stable.
