Had a white rat with pink eyes as a pet in grade school. Johnnie was a sweetie and would fall asleep in the crook of an arm if massaged behind the ears.

Actually I do LOVE snakes - well not met one out and about but in zoos and things I love holding them and I think they are soothing to stroke - a bit like stress balls

My DH is a Rat and I am a Monkey. Apparently I bring fun into his life but i don't know if he would agree about that.

A rat is an amazing pet. My DD wanted one and, although I said no way as I hate their tails, she managed to talk us round and we all absolutely loved him. He was very clean and so intelligent. He soon learned to open his cage (which was in DD's room) and would come and go as he pleased. When you picked him up he climbed onto your shoulder and would sit there while you walked around. If we couldn't find him, we just called his name and he came. We only had him for 2 years but he was such a character and really missed.

By the way, I am a pig and my DH a rat.

I had no idea either, but I’m also a Dragon. I will have to research to see if the characteristics fit my my personality or not!

I'm a Rat as well. I was a bit upset at first when I found out, but as other Rats have said, we have many positive qualities.

Rats are the most fabulous pets. Very sociable, clean, friendly, curious. Quite fascinating.
