Well at least we are all agreed on something for a change.

I like her too.

You’re right Anniebach- her father’s daughter definitely!

Anniebach Tue 21-Jan-20 13:12:27

I don’t think Anne is monarch material , too outspoken for the job

We will never know what Princess Anne thinks but it would be interesting to know. I think her face said it all when she was in the same room as Trump!! Haha I bet the air was blue. I like her and think she works hard. She would make a better queen than Charles's attempt at being a king - if he's ever given the chance. X

I would also love to know how Philip feels about his grandson and wife’s shenanigans.

It was very telling that he left Sandringham a good two hours before Harry arrived last Monday !

Was it his decision or was he banished I wonder??

I should imagine the Queen would have been on edge if Philip had been at the meeting, knowing how he doesn’t mince his words!

I agree Annie. I have always admired Princess Anne and her approach to things, she is very hard working.

Ha ha sodapop me too - H&M’s ears would definitely be burning then!

I would love to be a fly on the wall in any discussion on Harry & Meghan between Princess Anne and Prince Philip.

merlotgran Mon 20-Jan-20 15:40:52

I remember her referring to Diana and Fergie as 'those two silly girls'.

Goodness knows what she is thinking about H&M. She has the same no nonsense approach as her father so it won't be pretty! grin

I think she always knows what is going on and supports when it’s needed. She doesn’t blow her own trumpet just gets on with her duties and her life.

I admire her.

Slightly off topic, but I watched a documentary on Sarah Ferguson yesterday, and she really was treated horribly by the tabloid press.

Davidhs Mon 20-Jan-20 13:36:41

Anne had her own problems with the press, her solution was to tell them to “naff off”, never afraid of speaking her mind that was probably one of her more polite rebuffs.

ladymuck Mon 20-Jan-20 13:35:28

On the contrary 3nanny6, she will be very much aware of what is going on, but she has never been one for the press so will keep her opinions to herself.
She is actually paying a visit to us here in Lancashire later this week. I don't doubt someone will ask her for her take on the proceedings.

Anniebach Mon 20-Jan-20 13:31:26

Anne cares very much for her parents and for her position in
the family. I think she will be there for Charles too.

Calendargirl Mon 20-Jan-20 13:18:06

I can well imagine what she thinks of it all!
Princess Anne epitomises what the Royal Family should be about.
Sensible, hard working, dutiful, not bothered what people think of her, just gets on with it.
70 this year, I’m sure there are many times when she just wants to retire to be with her dogs, horses, family, but am pretty sure as long as her parents in particular need her, she will be there.

MawB Mon 20-Jan-20 12:42:42

How on earth can you presume to “know” Princess Anne in uninterested in what has been going on, 3nanny6

Fair enough question from OP

3nanny6 Mon 20-Jan-20 12:40:14

Dear Anne is too busy riding her horses and seeing her grand-children she is uninterested in all the goings on.

In fact she is probably better just keeping herself happy with the horses and let the rest of them get on with it.

Pantglas2 Mon 20-Jan-20 12:35:55

With all the goings on in the royal family at the moment, it occurred to me I’d pay good money to hear what she thinks of it all! Not that we ever will of course- she’s more old school ‘never complain, never explain’.
