So we were looking at fridge freezerz in Currys. We spotted a camera which can be used remotely to check what is in the fridge. It cost £129.00. I must rush out and but one asap.?

Does anyone have one?

Oh, the stress, the stress!!

I wonder if the fridge says "Cheese!" when it sees the camera?

lemongrove Mon 13-Jan-20 21:39:12

Ideal for idle people??
How about a camera for cheese thieves, alerts you to who pinched the last bit of cheddar you were saving for your toast.?

Oh I saw one in the kitchen shop that has an nbuilt recipe screen. It monitors what is in the fridge and makes recipe suggestions.

Don’t ask me how....

Oh god, I'd hate a camera in mine, although it might remind me to get rid of that bowl/plate of whatever that I was saving in case it might get used.........blush

Ye gods. sad

Way back in the 1990s it was predicted that fridges of the future would have computers and order replacement items automatically. Mind you, there was also the idea that we'd wear computers in out clothing too!

There is never much in my fridge, everything goes in the freezer. If the last bit of butter goes into the dish, I go to the fridge and retrieve another pack.

Daft idea.

My brother has an internet connected fridge with a camera so you can check out if you’re out of butter when in the supermarket. It also has a screen on the front showing favourite photos. I think it’s a bloke thing ? I’m quite happy with a list and a couple of magnets holding stuff I want to see. I must be a Luddite..?

My GD went in my fridge drawer last night and pulled out a rotting half cucumber.
A camera would have been very useful for that.
Am I a lazy mare?
Probably.

Callistemon Mon 13-Jan-20 23:23:28

MissA and lemongrove! grin

Am I the only one to think they are an absolutely brilliant idea?
I'm going to buy one tomorrow
Surely it's designed to help men to find the butter in the fridge?

Now I'll be castigated for misandry.

Right ok, thanks, obviously we all need one asap even if just to guard the stilton.?

Resurgam123 Tue 14-Jan-20 13:47:23

My husband has just eaten a very greedy quantity of Stilton
In a rather greedy manner as usual. ???

annsixty, my cucumbers do that. They are fine, fine, fine then yuck.

Since my DH retired I have no idea what is in the fridge. He is now the fridge master.
One more thing not to remember, no wonder I feel I’m losing it? I’m not practicing remembering!
Not a good thing IMO.

Cucumbers, wrap a piece of kitchen towel round your cucumber and it will last a lot longer.

Wasn’t Adrian Mole once woken in the night by his new fridge telling him he’d run out of eggs?
