Anniebach I think that when strong, opposing opinions are voiced on GN about politicians and celebrities we tend to rise to the bait and become embroiled in arguments. This case is different because we are (predominantly all) grandmothers/great grandmothers, we understand family dynamics and squabbles and we really only want what is best. In a sense we can detach ourselves from the politicians and their antics but a family being torn apart is more poignant.
