Do you have a favourite day of the week

Optimist, I look after granddaughter after school every other Tuesday too. I don't like the drive there and back but love the moment the teacher in reception calls her and she runs out to hug me. Grandpa and I do alternate weeks now. I think daughter thinks we are a bit past it for weekly, which we used to do I like Wednesdays as it it Weightwatchers weigh in (maintaining my goal since 2009) and after that I eat Bad Things . No I know nothing is bad. But I watch those points on 6 days. Even though I gain over Christmas etc I don't gain enough to have to pay. ;) . And I go back down.

I have to say Saturday during the football season. However, since my team (Sheffield United) were promoted to the premier league, 3pm on a Saturday has become more of a rarity - Friday night, Sunday afternoon, Monday night etc etc.

Thursday, as its the only day I don't have to be somewhere or doing something for others. I don't mind that but its lovely to just have my day alone to chose when and what to do.

Any day I get to babysit any of the kids

I did ask a group of young pupils. One boy replied, every day because everything is so good. Oh, to be 8 and loving life.

I like Mondays. There's always a feeling of making a fresh start on Monday mornings. When the children were younger, Monday was the day when life returned to normal after a hectic week-end.

Any day except Mondays.
For some reason I seem to be stuck in the rut of bed changing, laundry and cleaning on Mondays.

Sunday’s even though I still cook lunch do the ironing but listen to the radio and enjoy the rest of the day.

Mondays is creative day. Art class in the in the morning and choir in the evening (lunch and a nap in between).
Tuesday I look after grandaughter.
Thursday is physical day, aqua aerobics in the morning and Pilates in the evening.
Oh, since I retired from teaching at 72 I love every day!

When I was at work, Friday evening seemed the best time of the week. Sunday evening the most depressing, watched programmes like Lark Rise to Candleford with a heavy heart as it meant work the next day. Now happily retired, but still prefer the end of the week.

Probably Mondays odd as it sounds. Weekends can either be crazily busy with family or outings or else a bit boring with no structure and DH asking what we are going to do. I like the beginning of the week feel to a Monday and back to work and routine.

mine are weekdays because you get the To-Day programme on the radio from 6 am instead of farming and walking programmes .

Wednesday it's my Knit & Natter group afternoon. Meeting my friends and seeing different people.
I also like my Friday evenings, taking grandchildren kayaking at the local pool. Its lovely to watch their progress, they practice rolling and escaping, and water safety in the winter, in preparation for summer events on the river.

Mine is Sunday. I walk every morning, starting in the dark at this time of year, but on this day of the week I do a more scenic route with a friend. We chatter the whole way and put the world to rights. I then relax when I return home, listening to The Archers omnibus. Perhaps I should get a life if this is the highlight of my week!

Always been Friday,when I was working we usually went to the pub at dinner time,not to drink alcohol but just to have a nice catchup and because I was on flexitime I would leave work at 4 and do some shopping and then I would have the weekend to look forward to .I took early retirement 10 years ago but Friday is still my favourite day.Sunday is still my least favourite day for some reason I feel a bit glum on a Sunday.

Not any more. When I was working, it was Friday!

Thursday. I used to work Saturdays so I would get Thursday as my day off. I loved my midweek days off and the fact that shops etc were quieter than at the weekend. Now that I’m retired every weekday is like a Thursday and I couldn’t be happier.

Thursday I think. I have mild synesthaesia, and it is a purple day. Also when DH was semi- retired ,he didn't work on Friday. So we had a long weekend to look forward to.

Mine has always been Friday, since I was old enough to be aware of what day of the week it was.
My least favourite has always been Sunday. Even as a child, I always had a knot in my stomach that day because I knew I had to go to school the next day. That feeling (which later transferred to work) ruined Sundays for me!

Could be any day depending on what we are doing. We try not to have too much of a routine now that we don’t have to.

Can I say Friday evening? The working week has finished and the whole weekend is ahead of us. If I can’t specify a time then Saturday - no work, hurrah!

I think it's Friday. That's when we meet up at the pub with our 'still working' friends.??

I have my grandchildren on Fridays, so my husband brings home fish and chips, I love Friday evenings, no cooking, and no work the next day.

Sunday . No work, no chores ‘ rule ‘ just relaxation and socialising. Bliss
