*Doodledog: I can't see the harm in putting a coat over pjs if you are staying in the car.
In theory maybe. But what if you then had to go inside the school for some reason? I just couldn't do it! Not worth the risk.*
True. As I said, I didn't do it, and personally, I wouldn't go out without my outdoor clothes on. I think my children would have objected to my shopping in my pj's, even if I had wanted to.
In most cases, though, if children are old enough to be let out of the car and into school on their own, the chances are that any visits to the school would be by appointment, and someone sitting in a car wearing a coat wouldn't be obviously in nightclothes.
For clarification - I wold always have a wash/shower even if staying in leisurewear
. Why would anyone think otherwise?
