google "meetup" and your area, there'll be something there to interest you.

What about asking about Meet Ups on GN?

Just another thought...if it is possible for you, volunteering; social stuff , stately homes, National Trust, paths and canals etc.

All above good advice. You haven't given us much to go on though. How old are you? What is the reason you moved areas? Do you have family/friends you left behind?

Feeling 'lost' - well you can feel this wherever you are if your mind is not in a good place. Examining what you want in life will help. But..it IS up to you to seek it out and make the first moves. Good luck

It is difficult moving to a new area, if you are mobile then you could look for various groups through local mags, notice boards,
Council websites might have info, libraries might have book clubs, U3A might be close with a multitude of groups within, WI, take a class, computers to wine tasting available in lots of areas, language if you feel like it, walking groups and agree with other post a dog is a great conversation starter. Good luck

It really is up to you to get out there and find friends.
Try everything.
Try the sort of things that you enjoy first then go on to the things that don’t float your boat quite as much.

I once stood up at a school do and asked about 100 people if any of them wanted to play tennis. It worked.
Good luck - it’s hard and it takes time but, hopefully , you will get results.

I’m afraid you have to get out there and find out what’s going on in your local areas, hope you are able to do this, generally look online. Ask neighbours if you have spoken to any, or visit your library they are very helpful in putting you in touch with organisations, , have you got a dog Mickyboy that very often helps lots of dog walkers greet each other, I’m sure once you get out and about you will find it a lot easier , hope you enjoy your new area and good luck in finding new friends

Have you looked up your council area to see what is available in your area?

I learned the hard way when newly married in the early 70s that no one comes knocking at your door.

A lot depends on your age and mobility. Whether you can go out to find interesting groups or whether you need people to come to visit you?
