I haven't read the article, but relate to this.

DD is 17. I'm 60. I used to be able to enjoy a cigar or two on Christmas but no chance of that now!

Alcohol at Christmas? Bugger that! It isn't worth the judgemental stares.

I'm another 'Oldie' reader and fan. That was a really good article. It's worth reading the whole thing. Hilarious yet scarily accurate prediction of the shape of things to come.

Really!
Sparkling Thank you for that extremely succinct message; it's very original! tchgrin, although "eh!" would be more succincter, but less posh.!
Reading between the lines I'd say that you really don't believe me, but it's true You are obviouly a sceptic so you might be interested in the following URL; my Christmas gift to you! Understanding what satire is is also a useful gift, wouldn't you agree? tchgrin

A recent article in my favourite UK mag. (The Oldie) tells me that "assaults by pensioners on people who have told them to act 'responsibly' have reached a peak.
Britain could be engulfed in a tsunami of ominous predictions.before the end of the 2030s, leading to a dangerous increase in levels of anxiety.
Experts at the Institute of Possible Outcomes estimate that 81% of today's primary school children will, in 20 years' time be employed in some form of foreboding activity.
Apparently. there are calls for the Govt. to appoint a Minister for Nonchalance to introduce measures to lower awareness. and limit the number of predictions issued.

Isn't that shocking!? What is the country coming to!?
Drink up and "drink responsibly"
