Brilliant news for Gilly and her dear Husband.
It is a day for some good news along with the inevitable sadness.
One friend of mine has finally been awarded a blue badge and another has heard that her husband has been awarded Attendance Allowance.
They are both fully justified and the second one will really welcome the extra money to get help for both of them.
Good news indeed.

I do hope things go even better for you both now, although the road ahead may be quite a long one. I read daily but haven’t posted on here, but like others have followed the Gillybobs avidly. Was so pleased to read about Mr G’s successful return home, I felt I had to post to say so! Wishing them both well for the future.

Another one who doesn't post here (only feel at ease on food or gardening threads) however I've been really touched by the Gillybobs who have gone through hell and back.

Having your husband home for Christmas must have been beyond your wildest dreams even a couple of weeks ago so it’s great that he has made such progress.

The ‘care’ you described at the hospital though was truly shocking.

I’m not sure if you have the energy to look into issuing a formal complaint but I think you would be fully justified if you did.

It made very scary reading.

Wonder news Gilly what a long way you have come. I remember the relief when my DH came home after having Legionnaires. Now when you get you tooth sorted out you can both move forward. We are all still here for you.
