She sounds lovely Greygirl.
My 17 year old DGS is similar and he will often call me just for a chat and to see how I am. Always greets me with a hug.
How lucky are we ?

What a lovely 17 year old. Ours doesn’t even do her own Christmas cards as far as I can tell!

You know 17year-old GD is all grown up and has weekend job so has own money calls you to ask if she can have something delivered to your house gift for Dad . Suddenly hit me organised own Christmas shopping that was my job.
