Actually, I never realised that Rod Stewart was probably singing too, only had eyes for Long John Baldry

I think that Reg Dwight also called himself Elton John, the John being in honour of Long John.

Callistemon - OMG you remember Long John Baldry? Nobody knows that name nowadays. Greatest blues singer this country produced. Remember seeing him sing with a very young Rod Stewart at the Marquee several times.

Am I allowed to mention someone who is still alive? ok its Meatloaf for me.

David Whitfield (my mums favourite) still listen to him now.

Oh Calendargirl I was going to ask if anyone remembered Matt Monroe. He had such a beautiful voice and died so young.
