Blimey it takes me all my time to keep my eyes open beyond 10.30pm after the news so no way will I be bothering to try and stay awake for that lot.
It'll either be a hung or a very close call anyway as not forgetting we have a lot of students who've " become of age ".

I will watch the exit poll and if it shows any hope I will stay up. I am rooting for Grieve and Gauke. Would love to see IDS and Raab lose their seats.

If no hope then I will put it on record and watch the bearable bits in the morning. It will be the first time I haven't stayed up all night.

Yup. I've taken Friday off.

Strong coffee all round.

Definitely not.

Got to get up for work Friday so no; also despondent that BJ will somehow get re-elected (though live in strong Labour constituency, thankfully)

Will sleep in spare room with radio so as not to keep DH awake. I think he might watch TV for awhile and then go to bed.

DD will be. She has Friday off to recover. She will probably lay a few small bets on the results. She made nearly £200 on the 2017 election.

I will be in Germany visiting the Christmas Fair at Cologne. Elections will be the last thing on my mind.

I am wondering if the red wall will crumble this time around. Will Skinner lose in Bolsover? I very much hope Grieve does not get back in. I would love to see him out. I also wonder if the Brexit Party will win any seats in North. Any predictions anyone for individual seats?

I’d like to, but have to be up at a reasonable hour because I look after my grandchildren on Friday. I’m feeling rather gloomy about the outcome, so if the exit polls are as I fear I may just go to bed and catch up in the morning.

BlueBelle Mon 09-Dec-19 10:58:46

Absolutely not it would be like a wake in fact I think I want to hibernate for a fortnight
I don’t think the awful Blue man I ve got will lose in my area a deprived area with lots of loud Brexiteers and Ukippers why they can possible vote for a blue man who has done diddly squit for the area and voted against everything humanitarian I hold dear I will never understand

MiniMoon Mon 09-Dec-19 10:52:38

No. I will be going to bed as usual.
I generally have to get up a couple of times during the night, so I'll probably check my phone or tablet and see how things are going.
I don't suppose there will be any change in my constituency.

No, I will have flown to Manchester too Urmstongran. I have had a postal vote so don't have to rush to vote (thank goodness)!! When I booked my flight I didn't know it was polling day.

Hetty58 Mon 09-Dec-19 10:40:17

Stay up all night - you are joking - what on Earth for? I'm in London so nothing will turn blue around here, thankfully!

Urmstongran Mon 09-Dec-19 10:40:17

After all the polls, I remember my disbelief in 2016 to find out we’d voted to Leave! Nothing happened though so my euphoria was short lived.

Chestnut Mon 09-Dec-19 10:36:45

No! I will record it, have a good night's sleep and watch it after breakfast so I can fast forward the boring bits. That way you can see it unfold and not miss the excitement of finding out the final result as it happens.

Shelmiss Mon 09-Dec-19 10:36:09

I will be doing my utmost best to stay awake although I very much doubt that I will be able to. I’ll be watching the BBC until I drift off, then will check my phone probably around 4ish, that’s usually the case with these things.

I just hope I’m not going to be gobsmacked this time as I was when the result of the referendum came in and also when Trump was elected! shock

Urmstongran Mon 09-Dec-19 10:35:45

No, we will have just flown back to the U.K. that afternoon (then voted).

I’ll be tired I expect so will go to bed. Will be excited though to find out the result on Friday morning!

newnanny Mon 09-Dec-19 10:32:09

I shall be. I am getting snacks in and lots of coffee to keep me awake. I wonder which big beast will fall this time around. I just love seeing the map turn blue. I won't be watching on Sky though as I see they are having Bercow on and I dislike him. So ladies anyone else staying up to watch?
