Anyone staying up all night on Thursday?

tbh I am not sure I/we could - the whole thing makes me panic and sick. Woke up this am with a panic attack- I have never ever had panic attacks in my whole life ...

Yes I will try and listen on and off all night, will have the radio on and be in bed, tucked up with LBC. No doubt I will drift off but I also sleep fitfully and will hear snippets all through.

Yes, I will. I always enjoy election nights, and this one promises to be memorable. I’ve a very busy day on Thursday and a big night out on Friday, so will be propping my eyelids open with matchsticks.

I sat up on the night of the referendum and had a meeting with my MP about the WASPI campaign at 10am. He solemnly assured me that he supported us, then said the opposite in a statement on his website a fortnight later. I’m hoping to see him lose his very slender majority.

No I won't stay up but it is very important to me and many like me, it is not "Just an election". We live in France and the result in June 2016 was one of the worst days ever but then it continued to get worse, every week something else said or done that was truly beyond belief. 3 years of uncertainty for Brits in Europe's way of living and life.... Numerous situations have been muted from no reciprocal health care to uncetainty of continued pension payments So it is not unreasonable or hysterical to feel anxious.
We have always planned to return and will but this past 3 years has shown how little being a fully paid up UK citizen means to this government, nobody can rely on anything... Health care, pensions age, elderly care, education, employment, housing, keeping children out of poverty, it goes on an on ... and it is real.

I probably won't stay up. I don't seem to have much control over whether I stay up at night or not. I will probably stay awake a bit longer than usual and wake up a bit earlier but there isn't much that you can do. I'm not sure what channel to watch either so I will probably be switching.
My constituency is usually one of the last to announce. The result is never a surprise but I like to see if there has been any movement.
I wish it weren't just before Christmas.

DH has a medical appointment Friday morning. I wondered why I was able to get a cancellation slot so easily.

I will be working on Thursday as a Poll Clerk from 6am to 22.30. Reckon I'll Tumblr into bed and spot check first thing in the morning.

It would only be worth staying up for if Johnson, Swinson and Corbyn all lost their seats. That would be something to celebrate. As it is I’ve got a Christmas party to go to on Friday so we’ll be celebrating / drowning our sorrows whatever the result. So no, I’m not staying up.

Will be staying up and have done so on election nights for as long as I can remember. Not sure I will manage to stay awake all night but will give it a go. Have a Christmas lunch to go to on Friday not ideal but am sure there will be plenty to talk about!

I will hear the news in the morning. I've been around so many counts watching the votes accumulate on the 'wrong' pile and stayed up till the small hours so many times that I can't face it any more. My staying up won't make any difference to the result.
