I'm another who hates cooking, and we had Hello Fresh for a little while, but decided it didn't suit our lifestyle. We had tried other recipe boxes and come to the same conclusion. But we decided to give it one more go and have been with our current scheme for about a year now and it seems to tick every box. Four meals a week - the other days will be beans on toast, scrambled eggs, baked potato or something quick and ready from the supermarket.
Having all the ingredients measured out in one package, no waste, helps a lot, and this particular box ( not sure I should advertise, but it starts with g) has extremely simple recipes for the most part. Many people who enjoy cooking also enjoy being creative; I don't feel creative with this box but I am now finding I enjoy choosing the meals (we always have two vegetarian and two fish) and although I can't describe the experience as "fun*, I do know we're getting a healthy meal and almost all of them taste good.
It is more expensive than buying all fresh ingredients, but we feel we're paying for the benefutd. My husband has mild Alzheimer's, and I have to watch him like a hawk when he helps me, because he keeps second-guessing and putting things in the wrong pot or forgetting the oil.
You can also allow them to choose what meals to send you, which is like Father Christmas coming! And you don't have to have it every week. And we must have cut by about two thirds the number of takeaways we have)
So if you really are bored with cooking (or, like me, don't think you're good at it) this could be a solution for you.
