Right, kitcheners, get busy. You know the routine. The tin of flapjacks to keep you going is in the corner with a kettle. The water's already on.

Good luck tomorrow Soop flowers

Two pies waiting to go into the oven

My very best wishes for tomorrow, Soop flowers

kittylester Mon 20-Jan-20 17:17:35

I've popped in to wish our soop good luck for tomorrow too. wine

dragonfly, I'm glad you seem to be on the mend - I hope it continues!

I've just come back from seeing one of m the nurses at our practice. She is my favourite person to see there as she is so friendly and upbeat. Anyway, it looks as though the UTI wont carry me off but she tested everything possible and it's all good. I was surprised that wee samples from old women are not dip-sticked but sent straight off to the lab.

Anyway, brilliant NHS as usual!!

Thinking of you tomorrow soop at least you will be “out of it”.
Hoping for a really positive outcome.

callgirl1 Mon 20-Jan-20 17:01:34

PS, that`s one of the most beautiful sunsets I`ve ever seen!

callgirl1 Mon 20-Jan-20 17:00:07

All the very best for tomorrow Soop. I hope you have something soft to sit on when you come home.

soop Mon 20-Jan-20 16:52:43

Thank you, Nannytopsy Bless you.

soop Mon 20-Jan-20 16:51:48

dragonfly and Susan our posts crossed. Thank you for your kind words.
dragonfly I also hope that your bad reaction will gradually fade into oblivion. I sympathise. The muscle pain is awful for several days after Zoledronic acid infusions. You could always blaspheme in Dutch. smile

Carillion Thinking of you. x

Nannytopsy Mon 20-Jan-20 16:47:24

Good luck tomorrow Soop!

soop Mon 20-Jan-20 16:42:54

Charleyg I've cropped Mila's photo. She was two a short time ago.

Oh Ann! and here we all sit ready to scoff nibble in lady-like fashion that wonderful cake that Greyduster made for us you. wink

After which, if GrannyGravy can be bothered to make an extra pie... us lot will queue up for a wee tasting.

I have given the house a thorough cleaning. Why? Beacause I shall be in hospital tomorrow for the rootle around the nethers and, I wish to return to a home that will not be screaming - clean me! I shall not be in the mood.

I shall be absent tomorrow. However, I have every intention of popping into our kitchen on Wednesday. Please take good care of yourselves. TOYA smile moon

Looks like my favourite sort of cake greyduster?
Glad you are starting to feel better dragonfly, hope you are over the worst of it??
Happy unbirthday Ann???

dragonfly46 Mon 20-Jan-20 16:33:50

Just popped in to wish soop a good trip tomorrow. Have I got that right, are you at the hospital tomorrow soop?

I have had a reaction to the chemo last Friday. I also had a zolandronic acid injection so the two combined have given me intense pain all over. Hopefully I am over the worst of it now as it is just in my legs so hopefully it will drop off the end of my feet!

By the way I could talk to Mila in Dutch!

Charleygirl5 Mon 20-Jan-20 16:23:53

ann may I suggest if you are only 26 you move over to Mumsnet? Are we not too old for your young and sprightly views?!

That cake looks seriously delicious. I am tempted.

Those children are gorgeous. Both are growing so quickly they will soon be going to school.

The sun has shone all day here but there is a definite nip in the air.

Carillion I do hope your DH is okay as there has been radio silence - unless you are exhausted.
TOYA

Hello the kitchen! Ann, seeing as you are having ‘a very happy unbirthday’, perhaps you would like a slice of very happy unbirthday cake. This coffee and walnut effort was, with suitably blingy embellishments, going to be a cake for my DD’s birthday. Then hapless but well meaning DH came back from the supermarket with a cake which seriously eclipsed mine (“well how did I know it was supposed to be a birthday cake?”) so I slapped some (bought) caramel and sea salt icing on it and will share this one with the kitchen. The recipe is my late sister’s. She was a wonderful baker. I don’t even come close. Soop your lovely grand babies are growing apace! Beautiful! Have to go out in a minute to pick up GS from an after school club. Don’t know who else will be on the passenger list this evening. There’s always someone! TOYA.

Galen Mon 20-Jan-20 14:29:40

Well! 26 and already a Gran!
You must have been very precocious!??

annsixty Mon 20-Jan-20 14:27:50

Thank you all but it isn’t my birthday at all, that is in July.
I really haven’t worn well at all if I am only 26?

kittylester Mon 20-Jan-20 14:25:20

Many happy returns ann. I must say you are looking good for your age!!

GrannyGravy13 Mon 20-Jan-20 13:59:08

Happy Birthday Annsixty thanks

Just collapsed into a chair with a latte after an hour and half session at the gym, I do not think I can move for the foreseeable future grin.

Unfortunately I have promised Mr.Gravy a homemade chicken and mushroom pie for dinner, so will have to drag myself into the kitchen eventually.

soop Mon 20-Jan-20 13:14:50

ann My word, how on earth have you managed to turn back time? Do you have a tardis? No matter...*HAPPY BIRTHDAY* with bells on. flowers

annsixty Mon 20-Jan-20 13:03:17

Just a very brief pop in to say one family member and one friend have rung me to wish me a very Happy 26th Birthday as publicised on Facebook.
I can’t tell you what a spring I have in my step now.

soop Mon 20-Jan-20 12:12:17

Sunset. Mila, who converses in English and Dutch and Ted at bathtime. Awww!

soop Mon 20-Jan-20 12:07:22

Resurgram123 I'm here, alive and kicking (I think) and about to sup my coffee. Join me if you feel up to a blether.

MacSporran has completed his final chicken-minding duty. Our pals return home today. I do believe that he has grown fond of them, in a clucky sense. wink

I took a photo of last night's beautiful sunset to share with you. I shall include it together with two latest photos of Mila and Ted, our great grandchildren.

Give me a few minutes...

callgirl1 Sun 19-Jan-20 23:35:32

Dear morethan, I wish I was good with words, but just to say that all my thoughts are with you and your lovely family x

As I remember, Soop had internet connection problems and was offline for I think at least a week when the “new” kitchen was opened by Baggs.
But she is back with us now smile

Resurgam123 Sun 19-Jan-20 22:17:46

I have been in cloud cuckcoo land as regards posts on here.
