Melania is the only good thing about Trump isn't she? *Title changed by GNHQ*

Loved how good she seemed with the kids at the primary school today, helping them to make Xmas decorations and wrap presents for charity. She seemed very relaxed. Really enjoying herself.

Never eaten an English mince pie either!

Gagajo I meant the wife, not the daughter. (Not trying their names again)

Urmstongran Wed 04-Dec-19 22:14:21

Because she represents her country and always looks elegant. I also said she has a warm smile. She is after all only by her husband’s side to support him. She keeps her own counsel in political affairs.

Nothing not to like in my opinion!

Thanks inkcog, voice of sanity.

Being proud of a woman for being skinny is nuts. Particularly if she is only arm candy for the bloke. Trump treats his women like sh*t, other than his daughter, of whom he once said, 'If she weren't my daughter, I'd be dating her.' I pity them.

Callistemon Wed 04-Dec-19 22:35:03

GagaJo
Gonegirl meant Melania as explained upthread.

I think she's OK
And she is European too

GagaJo Wed 04-Dec-19 22:37:44

She is the woman I was speaking of being treated like sh*t. She's sold her soul to the devil. US citizenship and a wealthy husband. But at what price?

merlotgran Wed 04-Dec-19 22:38:19

I used to muddle their names as well. When the Donald became POTUS I thought his wife was called Ivanka because her predecessor was Ivana and he wanted someone with an easy name he could remember. grin

I just fell really sorry for her - married to that clown!

eebeew Wed 04-Dec-19 22:40:02

Cannot admire someone who married for money. She was once asked “Would you have married him if he wasn’t rich?”
Her response was “Would he have married me if I wasn’t beautiful?”
She is like the Queen in that she rarely gives her opinions so we must imagine how she feels. In fact we don’t know.

Feel

I liked her classy checked coat.

I thought Melania looked good in the yellow cape. Did you notice the pink heels she wore with it? Mind you, with a figure like that she'd look good in anything. As for Camilla in the red dress with black jacket, she looked fine too. Let's face it, who would want to have their photo taken standing near ex-model Melania? Camilla and Charles look very happy together, don't they? A happy smile works wonders in a photo whatever one is wearing - even standing near Melania!

Was Princess Anne refusing to shake hands with Trump? If so, I don't blame her. From what I saw in the clip on the internet tonight her mother was not very happy about the incident. I wonder if P Anne is having to take on some of the stuff that would normally have fallen to P Andrew.

Melania is President Trump's wife. Ivanka is the daughter.

No one said she was skinny Gagajo. Just that she has a fabulous figure, which she does. Helps that she’s tall and always looks elegant. It’s part of her role to look great.

crystaltipps Thu 05-Dec-19 06:55:18

If her job is to look attractive, wear 6 inch heels, designer clothes and have Botox, and do pretty much nothing else of value then she fits the bill.

Calendargirl Thu 05-Dec-19 06:58:36

We have no idea what she does day to day now do we?

crystaltipps Thu 05-Dec-19 07:10:41

I expect she’s writing novels, composing symphonies and eradicating world poverty in between the dressing up and hair appointments etc,

Grandma70s Thu 05-Dec-19 07:21:11

She was wearing so much eye make-up I’m amazed she could see through it. Th heels are absurd. I think underneath it all she’s a good-looking woman, but a bit more natural would be better. Her height and slenderness are natural advantages,

inkcog Thu 05-Dec-19 08:25:49

Sad state of affairs when we continue to assess a woman's value and contribution, by her weight.

Jane10 Thu 05-Dec-19 09:02:27

There was a comment on Twitter that she always looks as if she's trying to read the chop shop menu on the wall. Obviously I'm a horrible person but it made me laugh.

Callistemon Thu 05-Dec-19 09:37:21

Why are some women so bitchy about other women?

Any idea crystaltipps?

Gonegirl Thu 05-Dec-19 09:41:33

merlot do not bring yet another name into this, if you please. grin

I thought she looked very pretty when she was with the children. Her makeup was nice. Lovely colour pink lipstick. We don't want these people to look too ordinary do we?

Gonegirl Thu 05-Dec-19 09:43:19

I wouldn't be surprised if, in America, she does similar things to what our Kate does. (Yesterday it was choosing Xmas trees for a playgroup.)

Callistemon Thu 05-Dec-19 09:45:23

I think that was a photo of her caught unawares when she was looking at her husband Jane10!!
She is acting the role of First Lady as required by the Americans but they reportedly spend little time together, if at all any.

She is, as required by the demands of this unofficial post, spearheading campaigns eg Be Best, other children's charities and charities in her home country.

I feel sorry for her, stuck at the moment and possibly dreading another 4 years.

At least she manages to keep her child out of the limelight for the most part.

Gonegirl you could ask GNHQ to tweak the title of your thread
