'Merry Christmas, everyone'. Snow is falling all around us, children playing having fun.... Can't remember the words off the top of my head, and I've sung it at several Christmas concerts!!

They are all a bit cheesy I think, full of false sentiment. I prefer Christmas Carols nearer to Christmas and not weeks leading up to it.

I think the Wizard song was 'I wish it could be Christmas Every Day'

I like Johnny Mathis 'Mary's Boy Child' and Bing Crosby 'I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas'.

I think Fairytale of New York is utterly dire! Yet it seems to be so popular. Anyone able to explain why?
My favourite is Sleigh Ride by the Leroy Anderson Orchestra. Lovely!
Also Winter Wonderland for a real cheesy Christmas song.

We have a ritual for 1st December in our house. DH plays the Michael Bublé track "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" for me to wake up to - it's wonderful
